National Anthem Time

Time starts at the moment the first note is sung until the end of the last note until the end of the last note

In Super Bowl 54, Demi Lovato belted out the national anthem in 1:49. Prior to that, Gladys Knight finished in 2:01. In 2018, Pink got the job done in 1:52 while Luke Bryan and Lady Gaga finished the previous two anthems in 2:09 and 2:22 respectively.

This year, Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church will perform a duet edition. Sullivan is a singer-songwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her biggest hits to date are 2008’s “Need You Bad” and 2010’s “Holding You Down.” She has received 12 Grammy nominations in her career.

Eric Church is a country music singer-songwriter from North Carolina, best know for his hit songs “Give Me Back To My Hometown” (2014), “Springsteen” (2012), “Like A Wrecking Ball” (2015) and “Smoke A Little Smoke” (2010). He is a nine-time Grammy Award nominee.

Sullivan performed the Star-Spangled Banner for the 2016 NHL Stadium Series and lasted just 1:39, but the last time there was a duet singing the anthem (2006) Aretha Franklin and Aaron Neville needed 2:09 to finish. With two singers this year, I like the Over 2:03. Both singers will want to have their voices heard, so expect a fairly lengthy version.

Pick: Over

How long will the word Brave be sung

Analysis: this one is simple. If Jazmine Sullivan sings the final words, it’s going over 6.5 seconds, If Eric Church does it on the solo – or joins Sullivan in unison, I like the Under. Sullivan has got a pair of lungs on her while Church is more of a song-writer in my opinion. If Crouch is smart, he’ll let Sullivan belt it out on the solo!

Pick: Over 6.5 Seconds

Who will sing the first note

Analysis: Jazmine Sullivan had better be singing the first note on the solo – or I’m gonna’ be pissed. All jokes aside, Sullivan is truly a singer while, again, I think Eric Church is more of a song-writer. The smart money for me goes on Sullivan opening up the national anthem before Church joins in.

Pick: Jazmine Sullivan

Who will sing the last note

Analysis: I’m going with the same theory as I just did for the previous anthem props odds wager. Jazmine Sullivan should be finishing up the national anthem alone – but I suspect she won’t! Go with the ‘both’ selection here Super Bowl betting enthusiasts!

Pick: Both

Will Eric Church wear a Cowboy Hat

Analysis: Seriously? Just google Eric Church and images. He rarely wears a cowboy hat – if ever!  This one’s easy as pie. Go with the No selection at a value-packed +300!

What will Jazmine Sullivan be wearing

Analysis: I personally don’t care what Sullivan wears – she’s hot regardless of her outfit. However, I’m going with the skirt/dress selection here simply because she’s performed more in a dress than pants, shorts or leggings.

Pick: Skirt/Dress
