Seattle at L.A. Rams

When: 4:05 PM ET, Sunday, September 18, 2016
Where: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, California

Analysis: I know the Seattle Seahawks struggled in their narrow 12-10 Week 1 win over Miami and never came close to covering the NFL betting line as a double-digit home fave, but I don’t see them having any problems putting away a Los Angeles Rams team that looked completely inept in its 28-0 Week 1 shutout loss against San Francisco on Monday night.

While here’s no denying that the Rams generally give the Seahawks a tough way to go in their NFC West divisional clashes, I don’t see that happening not this time around, even with Russell Wilson having a gimpy ankle. I fully expect the Seahawks to pound the snot out of veteran quarterback Case Keenum, much like the Niners did while stacking seven in the box to shut down the gifted Todd Gurley.

Seattle is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games while Los Angeles has gone 3-7 SU in its last 10 games. The Seahawks win this NFC West divisional showdown going away!

My Pick: Seattle 31 L.A. Rams 0

San Francisco at Carolina

When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, September 18, 2016
Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina

Analysis: The San Francisco 49ers looked fantastic in beating the lowly Los Angeles Rams 28-0 on Monday night while the Carolina Panthers, um…didn’t, in their humbling 21-20 Week 1 loss against Denver. Having said that, I don’t think there’s any way whatsoever the Panthers lose this Week 2 matchup at home against a Niners team that may not be quite as good as they looked against the Rams.

San Francisco has gone 5-11 SU in its last 16 games while Carolina has compiled a blistering 17-3 SU mark in its last 20 games. More importantly, Carolina knows they cannot afford to lose this game and fall into a 0-2 hole after two games. Simply put, the Panthers will win outright!

My Pick: Carolina 27 San Francisco 21

Dallas at Washington -2.5

When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, September 18, 2016
Where: FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland

Analysis: The Dallas Cowboys were on the wrong end of a heartbreaking 20-19 loss against the New York Giants in Week 1, but didn’t look incompetent or overmatched in any way while earning push as a 1-point underdog. Conversely, the Washington Redskins looked lost and confused in their overwhelming 38-16 blowout loss against Pittsburgh on Monday night while never coming close to covering the NFL betting line as a 2.5-point home dog against the Steelers.

For this Week 2 NFC East divisional showdown, I’m going with the Dallas Cowboys to get the win and ATS cover since they have the edge at quarterback (yes…Dak Prescott is better than Kirk Cousins), running back and apparently, defense. Dallas is 0-3-2 ATS in its last 5 games, while Washington has gone  4-2 ATS in its last six games, but if you saw both teams in Week 1, then you already know why the Boys are the pick in this Week2 divisional date.

My Pick: Dallas 28 Washington 27
