Seattle at L.A. Rams

When: 4:05 PM ET, Sunday, September 18, 2016
Where: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, California

Analysis: The Seattle Seahawks may have struggled in their narrow 12-10 Week 1 win over Miami while never coming close to covering the spread as a 10.5-point home favorite, but I don’t see them having any problems putting away a Los Angeles Rams team that looked completely inept in its 28-0 Week 1 shutout loss against San Francisco on Monday night.

I know the Rams generally give the Seahawks a tough way to go, but not this time around. I fully expect the Seahawks to harass veteran quarterback Case Keenum, much like the Niners did while stacking the line in an effort to shut down the gifted Todd Gurley. Seattle is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games while Los Angeles has gone 3-7 SU in its last 10 games. The Seahawks win this NFC West divisional showdown going away!

My Pick: Seattle 31 L.A. Rams 0

San Francisco at Carolina

When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, September 18, 2016
Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina

Analysis: The San Francisco 49ers looked fantastic in beating the lowly Los Angeles Rams 28-0 on Monday night while the Carolina Panthers underachieved in their humbling 21-20 Week 1 loss against Denver. Having said that, I don’t think there’s any way whatsoever the Panthers lose this Week 2 matchup at home against a Niners team that may not be quite as good as they looked against the Rams.

San Francisco is 5-11 SU in its last 16 games while Carolina has gone 17-3 SU in its last 20 games. More importantly, the Panthers know they cannot afford to lose this game and fall into an 0-2 hole after two games. Simply put, the Panthers will win outright!

My Pick: Carolina 27 San Francisco 21

Jacksonville at San Diego -3

When: 4:25 PM ET, Sunday, September 18, 2016
Where: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, California

Analysis: The Jacksonville Jaguars looked really solid despite falling to Green Bay 27-23 in Week 1 while the San Diego Chargers fell completely apart in the second half of their humbling 33-27 Week 1 meltdown against Kansas City. Despite their bumbling ways and Jacksonville’s fine showing against the Packers, I’m going to back Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers to get the outright win at home, mostly because the Bolts can score the ball with the best teams in all of football.

Jacksonville is just 1-6 SU in its last 7 games and will face a San Diego team that has gone 5-0 ATS over its last five games. The Bolts will cover the spread again, by winning outright!

My Pick: San Diego 27 Jacksonville 24
