NFL Week One Parlay Betting Picks

Written by on September 1, 2014

It’s been a long summer wait for the return of the NFL betting season. To open the season, the Green Bay Packers visit the defending Super Bowl championship Seattle Seahawks in what should be a high octane game.Moving on to the other games of my NFL week 1 parlay pick include the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos hosting the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football on NBC.

My NFL Week One Parlay Betting Picks

Thursday September 4th , CenturyLink Field, 8:30 PM ET
  • Green Bay Packers +5.5
  • Seattle Seahawks -5.5
  • Over / Under: 44.5
We all remember the infamous non-touchdown game from two years ago. Since then the Seahawks have won the Super Bowl and the Packers have looked average. The Seahawks are coming off of a Super Bowl winning season in which they cruised to a lopsided 43-8 victory after finishing the regualr season at 11-5 against the spread, 5-3 at home.Green Bay still has arguably the best quarterback in the game in Aaron Rodgers, but their defense remains as soft as last year until their off-season upgrades prove that they are actually upgrades. The Packers were 7-6 against the spread in 2013, 1-5 when they were underdogs. My Pick: Seahawks -5.5. Sunday September 7 th , AT&T Stadium, 4:25 PM ET
  • San Francisco 49ers -4.5
  • Dallas Cowboys +4.5
  • Over / Under: 48.5
Having reached the NFC Championship game over the last three seasons, I think it’s safe to say the San Francisco 49ers one of the favorites to win the NFC again. Coach Jim Harbaugh and the organization locked QB Colin Kaepernick to a long term contract ande added WR Stevie Johnson from Buffalo to line up with Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree. The Dallas Cowboys once again will come out and play well for the first 3 months of the season before falling apart in late November. The San Francisco 49ers had a 6-1-1 ATS record away from home in 2013, and 9-4 ATS as the favorite. My Pick: San Francisco 49ers -4.5. Sunday September 7th, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, 8:30 PM ET
  • Indianapolis Colts +6.5
  • Denver Broncos -6.5
  • Over /Under: 55
The first Denver Broncos loss last year came at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts on a Sunday Night Football on October 201t, 2013. Can the Colts bring the same kind of luck to the 2014 season opener? “I think that is always exciting to see how you open, where do you open and who you open with,” Broncos coach John Fox said in a statement. “That’s what all this offseason stuff is going to be geared toward. I think we have a home-heavy schedule the first half of the season and a road-heavy schedule late in the year.“It’s hard to say as far as opponents and schedules and all that kind of stuff, because you never know year to year. They’re all tough.” My Pick: OVER 55.
