NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks and Expert Betting Predictions

Written by on September 11, 2017

Monday night will see Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season come to a close, with a pair of games on the schedule tonight. The opening week has certainly delivered a number of surprises, the biggest of which was probably the beating that the Kansas City Chiefs laid on the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. So, NFL Week 2 is one that definitely need to watch. Right now, the latest betting lines for Week 2 of the regular season are already out for you to start gearing up! The Steelers and Falcons both came away with wins, but they proved to be tougher than expected. Another big surprise in Week 1 was the performance of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who blew out the Houston Texans on the road, thanks in large part to a stellar first game from rookie RB Leonard Fournette. It’s now time to start looking ahead to NFL Week 2, and I am making some SU picks that you can put together to create a parlay ticket in whichever way you choose.

NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks and Expert Betting Predictions

Baltimore Ravens over Cleveland Browns

All the talk prior to the start of the season was that the AFC North was the Pittsburgh Steelers to lose, but the Raven served notice that they are a team to be reckoned with in Week 1. The Ravens D pitched a shutout, beating the Bengals 20-0 and picking off QB Andy Dalton 4 times. They will play within the division this weekend as they welcome in the Cleveland Browns, who put in a solid performance in a close one against the Steelers. Cleveland look as though they are going to be a better team this season, but they are still in tough on the road in Baltimore. NFL Week 2 Pick: Baltimore Ravens

NFL Week 2 Betting Trends

  • Cleveland is 2-8-1 ATS in the last 11 games
  • Cleveland is 1-19 SU in the last 20 games
  • The total went UNDER in 7 of Cleveland’s last 9 games
  • Baltimore is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games at home
  • Baltimore is 5-0 SU in the last 5 games at home
  • The total went OVER in 4 of Baltimore’s last 6 games

Pass-Happy Quarterback TD Props Odds and Expert Picks

Arizona Cardinals over Indianapolis Colts

For 3 quarters last Sunday it looked as though the Cardinals were going to score a comfortable win over the Detroit Lions, but then Matthew Stafford took over and led his team to a 20-point 4th quarter. This week sees the Cards go on the road to face a Colts team that will once again likely be without Andrew Luck at QB. Their missing starter seems to be the least of their problems, as their D gave up 46 points to a Rams team that needed a GPS system to find the endzone last season. The Cardinals will score points this weekend, and should do enough to get the win. NFL Week 2 Pick: Arizona Cardinals

NFL Week 2 Betting Trends

  • Arizona is 3-8 ATS in its last 11 games
  • Arizona is 2-5 SU in its last 7 games on the road
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Arizona’s last 5 games
  • Indianapolis is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Indianapolis’s last 5 games at home

Kansas City Chiefs over Philadelphia Eagles

This has the makings of being a highly competitive game of football, and we can probably expect to see some offensive fireworks when these two go head to head. Very few teams go into Foxboro and get a win, but even fewer go in and win in the style in which the Chiefs did in the season opener. Alex Smith and Carson Wentz both started the season in true gunslinger style, which is why this one might well turn into a shootout that comes down to the wire. I think it will be the Chiefs who come away with the win at Arrowhead. NFL Week 2 Pick: Kansas City Chiefs

NFL Week 2 Betting Trends

  • Philadelphia is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games
  • Philadelphia is 1-7 SU in the last 8 games on the road
  • The total went OVER in 4 of Philadelphia’s last 6 games
  • Kansas City is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 games
  • Kansas City is 11-3 SU in the last 14 games
  • The total went UNDER in 7 of Kansas City’s last 8 games at home

Oakland Raiders over New York Jets

We all knew that the Raiders were going to be good offensively this season, but they looked the complete package in Week 1, posting a 26-16 win over the Tennessee Titans. It took them a moment to get rolling in that game, but once they did, the offense looked as sharp as expected. Marshawn Lynch made a triumphant return to the league, amassing 76 yards on 18 carries. He is probably going to add to that tally in a big way this Sunday, as I expect the Raiders to lay a bit of a beating on the hapless Jets. NFL Week 2 Pick: Oakland Raiders NFL Week 2 ATS Picks: We all knew that the Raiders were going to be good offensively this season.

NFL Week 2 Betting Trends

  • NY Jets is 2-4 ATS in the last 6 games
  • NY Jets is 2-7 SU in the last 9 games
  • The total went UNDER in 4 of NY Jets’s last 5 games
  • Oakland is 8-4 ATS in the last 12 games
  • Oakland is 9-3 SU in the last 12 games
  • The total went OVER in 8 of Oakland’s last 12 games

Seattle Seahawks over San Francisco 49ers

It was a rough start to the season for the Seahawks, as they went down to the Packers at Lambeau Field in a game that was a defensive battle from start to finish. I expect the offense to have a lot more joy this weekend against the visiting 49ers, and I would not be surprised to see the defense pitch a shutout. San Francisco managed just 3 points at home in Week 1 versus the Panthers, and it’s fair to suggest that this Seahawks defense is an even tougher nut to crack. NFL Week 2 Pick: Seattle Seahawks

NFL Week 2 Betting Trends

  • San Francisco is 3-12-1 ATS in the last 16 games
  • San Francisco is 1-15 SU in the last 16 games
  • The total went OVER in 7 of San Francisco’s last 9 games on the road
  • Seattle is 1-4 ATS in the last 5 games
  • Seattle is 8-1 SU in the last 9 games at home
