NFL Week 6 SU Betting Picks

Written by on October 8, 2018

Even with just 5 weeks of the season played, we already have several teams who are in desperation mode, who were considered preseason favorites to win the Super Bowl. We also have a few nice surprises in the mix, although, with so many games still to play, we are reserving judgment on most of them, at least for now. It’s time to look ahead for NFL Week 6 odds so that we can start to make some picks and predictions for the games on the NFL calendar this coming week. Please be aware that besides these SU picks, we will also have ATS and O/U selections, as well as some parlay picks coming your way, so be sure to watch out for those.

NFL Week 6 SU Betting Picks

Atlanta Falcons over Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If you want to talk about a preseason favorite struggling, you need to talk about the Atlanta Falcons. They are now just 1-4 on the season after getting pounded by the Steelers in Week 5, plus they are now starting to lose some serious ground in the NFC South.

This week, the Falcons will host their division rivals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in what is truly a must win for both teams. After a bit of a Fitzmagical start to the season, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bucs have stumbled and fallen to 2-2. I think this team is now back where we expected them, and I think they might be in trouble in the ATL.

Minnesota Vikings over Arizona Cardinals

The Vikings are another team that is falling short of expectations in the early part of the season, but they may have just had a turnaround moment with a big win over the Philadelphia Eagles this past weekend. The question now is whether they can the momentum from that big win and use it to go on a run that gets them right back in the playoff picture.

The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a nice win against a banged-up 49ers team this weekend, but they look to be in a whole lot tougher here. I think this should be another win for the Vikings this weekend.

LA Chargers over Cleveland Browns

While you can’t yet call 2018 a huge turnaround season for the Cleveland Browns, seeing them go 2-2-1 through the opening 5 weeks of the season is certainly signs of a definite improvement. If this team can get above .500 this weekend, they may just start to believe that they can take a run at the postseason, although we may be getting a little to carried away there.

The Chargers are off to a rather strange start, which is not unusual for them. This is a team that is traditionally slow out of the gate, with Week 6 often when they start to make a run. The Chargers offer a little more on offense than Cleveland, so let’s give them the edge here.

Jacksonville Jaguars over Dallas Cowboys

Even with a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs over the weekend, the Jaguars still need to be considered one of the favorites to make the playoffs in the AFC.

They were victimized by the Chiefs offense this past Sunday, which is something that every team that faces the Chiefs seems to be falling prey to. Next up is a visit to Dallas to face a Cowboys offense that has been struggling this season. I think the Jags D will be able to shut the Cowboys down in a big way as they run out to a win here.
