2017 NFL Win Loss Betting Prediction for Baltimore Ravens

2017 NFL Win/Loss Betting Prediction for Baltimore Ravens

Written by on July 7, 2017

Every NFL team comes into the new season with some amount of pressure, but there are definitely some teams who will be feeling the heat more than others. The Baltimore Ravens have missed the playoffs in back to back seasons, and a third straight season without the postseason could well mean that a coaching change may be in the offing. The Ravens are in the AFC North, and will likely be dueling with the Bengals for second place, as we expect the Pittsburgh Steelers to be the class of the division. The bookies have set the Ravens season win total at 8.5, so let’s take a look at their schedule to see if they will go OVER or UNDER that number. Find out more about the updated NFL win total predictions here.

2017 NFL Win/Loss Odds Analysis and Betting Prediction for Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens Regular Season Wins (2017 NFL Season) O 8½ -135 U 8½ +105

Ravens in September

The Baltimore Ravens open their season on the road with a divisional game against the Bengals in a match-up that could well set the tone for the rest of the year. Both of these teams are under real pressure to make the playoffs, and I think it will be the Bengals who get the win in this one. Things get a good deal easier in Week 2, as the Ravens will welcome in the Cleveland Browns. This should be an easy win for the home team. Baltimore looks to have another manageable game in Week 3, going on the road to face the Jaguars. Ravens go 2-1 in September.

Ravens in October

The Ravens start October with a home game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, and we are giving them the nod at home. Week 5 is a tough one, as it involves a trip to California to face the Raiders. This looks like a loss for Baltimore by our estimation. It should be an easier game for the Ravens the following week, with the Chicago Bears coming to tow. Chalk up win #4 for the Ravens. It’s back to a tough game the following week with a trip to Minnesota to face a very tough Vikings defense in a game that I believe will end in a loss for the Ravens. October ends with a Thursday night game at home to the Dolphins, which I think will be a win for the Ravens. Ravens go 3-2 in October, taking them to 5-3 on the year.

Ravens in November

Week 9 sees the Ravens head to Tennessee to face the Titans in what may be a pivotal game this season. The Titans are going to take another step forward this season, and I think they win this game. That game is followed by a bye week, after which it’s another tough game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau. A tough month of November continues for the Ravens with another loss. November comes to a close with a home game against the Texans, and while this one will be tight, it should be Baltimore who get the win. Ravens go 1-2 in November, taking them to 6-5 on the season. December begins with a visit from the Detroit Lions, and that is a game that they should be able to win against Baltimore Ravens..

Ravens in December

December begins with a visit from the Detroit Lions, and that is a game that they should be able to win at home. Next up is a Sunday night game on the road in Pittsburgh, and I think it will be the Steelers who come away with the W in that one. It’s an easier game in Week 15, with a road trip to Cleveland to face the Browns in what should be another win for Baltimore. It’ll be a short week, as the Ravens will play on Saturday, welcoming in the Indianapolis Colts, which should be a win. The final game of the season will be a must win for the Raven and the Bengals, and I think Cincinnati spring the mild upset on the road. Moreover, that puts the Baltimore Ravens at 3-2 in December, and 9-7 on the season.

Conclusion

I like the Ravens to go slightly OVER the 8.5-game total for the season, which may be enough to get them into the Wild Card, although it may come down to a tie-breaker with the Bengals, who I believe will finish the season with a similar record.
