Look for the Sabres to bounce back and get the job done at home here with a low scoring affair. Sabres win 3-2 over New Jersey.

Nashville Predators at Colorado Avalanche

Something has to give! Do not be surprised if this game goes to overtime, but when push comes to shove, we are taking the home team. Bet the Avalanche over the Predators on Saturday!

Florida Panthers at New York Rangers

The Avalanche are the top team in the Central, but lost their second straight on Tuesday to the Devils. Colorado does not have a ton of wiggle room in the Central, as the Jets and Stars will track them down if they do not get going. The Panthers are looking to take the top spot in the Atlantic, with their 31-15-4. The Panthers also lost their first game after the break. Look for the home crowd of the Panthers to get them going here. Florida beats Colorado at home, and keeps the tail spin going for the Avalanche.

St. Louis Blues at Montreal Canadiens

The first of a pair of games on Super Bowl Sunday. The Blues are playing the second of a back to back, as they are in Buffalo on Saturday. St. Louis will likely use backup Joel Hofer in this one. They will likely face former Blues goaltender Jake Allen. The Blues start the second half of the season at 26-21-2, which is good for 8th in the Western Conference. St. Louis is behind the pack in the Central, but seems to be playing solid hockey. The Canadiens dropped to sixth in the Atlantic, and until they start making a streak, they look to be on the wrong side of the postseason standings. Look for the Blues to drum up solid hockey on the road trip and win this game. Take St. Louis, as a likely underdog.

But, with 43 games under their belt, and just 8 points out of a postseason spot, they will have a chance in the second half. The Wild are going to get hot, which is something this squad can do.

They are in Sunrise on Friday, as they take on the Panthers. Florida has 58 points, which is tied with the Rangers for second in the Eastern Conference. The Panthers though have dropped three straight games. The bet here though is the home team. We are not counting on Minnesota to get it back together yet. Florida wins this one at home on Friday.

For Vancouver, they are playing some of their best hockey in years. The Canucks are 29-11-4, and leading the Pacific. The Canucks are 7-2-1 in their last 10, but did take an overtime loss Monday in Columbus. This Canucks team looks to have all the pieces to make a deep postseason run. Before the postseason arrives though – we like them at home on Saturday over Toronto.

Nashville is chasing them, at 22-18-1 on the season. The Predators in 41 games have been outscored by just a single goal. The Predators would be the 7 seed in the postseason if it started today. Look for a good one, a physical one, and one that goes back and forth. But, in the end, Dallas and their defense is the team to beat here at home. Take the Stars on Friday!

The Blackhawks are only better than the Ducks in points. But, Bedard has been strong for Chicago with 33 points in 36 games. For New Jersey, they have also struggled. They are coming off the tough loss Saturday to end the 2023 portion of their schedule. They have their own Bedard, with Jack Hughes. Hughes has 44 points in 30 games. This should be a fun matchup between these two. Two of the young stars, you should see for many years in the league matching up out East. When betting this game – the Devils should win.
