Las Vegas is in last place in group B with nine points. The Lights have lost two straight including a pitiful 5-1 defeat against Phoenix on Friday.

Indy comes into this affair fresh off a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City II on Wednesday. Louisville FC is sitting atop the group E standings with 23 points. They’ve scored 19 goals this season while conceding 10 defensively. Louisville comes into this matchup fresh off a convincing 3-0 win over St. Louis on Saturday.

Prediction

Louisville is unbeaten in their last seven games while recording four wins along the way. More importantly, Louisville has gone an unblemished 3-2-0 in their last five meetings against Indy Eleven and just recorded a convincing 3-1 road win over the Eleven on Sept. 5. Louisville will be motivated and focused in this one as they complete the regular season sweep against an Indy Eleven team that just doesn’t match up well against them.

San Antonio FC (8-3-1) vs. Austin Bold FC (3-6-2)

San Antonio FC is sitting atop the group D standings with 27 points. They’ve scored an impressive 24 goals while allowing nine goals defensively. San Antonio had their four-game winning streak snapped in their crushing 2-1 loss against El Paso on Saturday that denied them from clinching their first playoff berth since 2017.

Austin is sitting in third place in the group D standings with 15 points. The Bold FC have scored 22 goals this season while allowing 21 goals defensively. Austin comes into this matchup fresh off a 2-2 draw against Tulsa last Tuesday, with their Saturday date against Rio Grande Valley being postponed.

Prediction

While these rivals have split their last five meetings evenly (2-1-2) and played to a 1-1 draw the last time they met on Aug. 15, San Antonio won each of the previous two meetings in dominating fashion by recording a 4-2 road win on Aug. 1 following their 3-0 home win in July of 2019.

While Austin has recorded four draws in their last five matches, San Antonio has gone a red-hot 4-0-1 over their last five. More importantly, San Antonio will be highly motivated after failing to lock down a playoff berth the last time out. This one will be quite a battle, but I like San Antonio to get it done in a thriller.
