With the 2018 Australian Open now a thing of the past and both, the ATP and WTA Tours moving on towards its spring swing, the expert tennis betting analysis and picks that you’re about to get from a USPTA pro no less, could help you cash in big over the course of the second week of February through our online sportsbook.

Let’s get started.

Expert Tennis Betting Picks for the Second Week of February 2018

New York Open (February 12-18)

The Memphis Open relocates to Long Island in 2018. The New York Open, an ATP World Tour 250 event, will be held from February 12-18 at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. In the top half of the draw, I’m predicting No. 1 seed Kevin Anderson will fall to young and gifted American Francis Tiafoe in the quarterfinal round.

I’m also going to say that No. 3 seed John Isner falls to No. 5 seed Kei Nishikori in the quarters. I think the bottom half of the draw is No. 2 seed Sam Querrey’s to win, but in the end, I’m going with Kei Nishikori to get the win in New York!

Tennis Betting Pick: Kei Nishikori

ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament (February 12-18)

The first ATP World Tour 500 tournament of the 2018 season gets underway this week in Rotterdam and I love the chances of World No. 2 Roger Federer as he takes to the court for the first time since winning the 2018 Australian Open with one goal in mind – getting the No. 1 world ranking back!

This event is the first of 13 ATP World Tour 500 tournaments of the season. Fed will have his hands full seeing as how the 45th anniversary of the popular Dutch indoor tournament features seven of the Top 20 players in the ATP Rankings.

Fed, who got a wild-card entry, is a two-time Rotterdam champion (2005, 2012) and he could face friend and fellow countryman Stan Wawrinka in the quarters. His toughest match could come against World No. 3 Alex Zverev in the semis, but if he gets past that match (it’s no guarantee) I don’t see anyone in the bottom half of the draw defeating him.

I’m expecting N0. 2 seed, Grigor Dimitrov, to reach the finals in the bottom half and to give Federer a tough way to go before falling to the sweet-swinging Swiss superstar simply because he’s determined to return to No. 1 for the first time since Nov. 4, 2012.

Tennis Betting Pick: Roger Federer

WTA Qatar Total Open 2018 (February 12-18)

The draw is out for the first Premier 5 event of the season at the Qatar Total Open, which is set to begin on Monday, February 12. Nine of the Top 10 are in the Doha field, where once again No.1 Caroline Wozniacki and No.2 Simona Halep will battle for the No.1 ranking.

  • Top eight seeds: No.1 Caroline Wozniacki, No.2 Simona Halep, No.3 Elina Svitolina, No.4 Garbiñe Muguruza, No.5 Karolina Pliskova, No.6 Jelena Ostapenko, No.7 Caroline Garcia, and No.8 Angelique Kerber.
  • Top half: Wozniacki, Svitolina, Ostapenko, Kerber.
  • Bottom half: Halep, Muguruza, Pliskova, Garcia.
  • Potential quarterfinals: Caroline Wozniacki vs. Angelique Kerber, Elina Svitolina vs. Jelena Ostapenko, Caroline Garcia vs. Garbiñe Mugurua, and Karolina Pliskova vs. Simona Halep.

Angelique Kerber is the Tennis Betting favorite to win the 2018 WTA Qatar Total Open.

While I’m really happy for ‘Sunshine’ Wozniacki on nailing down her first career grand slam win, she’s not my pick to win in Doha. Woz will likely have to get past Maria Sharapova to reach the quarters and even if she does that, I don’t think anyone gets past No.8 Angelique Kerber in the top half of the draw.

In the bottom half, I’m going with a simple pick for No. 5 seed Karolina Pliskova to take out World No. 2 Simona Halep in the semis to set up a final against Kerber. In the end, I’m going with Kerber to get the big win at Doha, seeing as how was a point away – twice! – from advancing to the Australian Open final last month, before losing in the semis to Halep. That defeat remains her only loss of the 2018 season so far. She began the year by scoring four wins at Hopman Cup and then rolling to her first title since the 2016 US Open, losing just two sets en route to the Sydney title.

Tennis Betting Pick: Angelique Kerber
