Check out the online MMA odds previews and predictions of this fight, which we’ve briefly and expertly prepared for you below.
Top UFC Fight Night Betting Pick “Cerrone vs Oliveira”
MMA Line: Line: Cerrone (-300) vs. Oliveira (+220)
As of December 2015, Cerrone was on an incredulous eight-fight win streak, but that run came to end, courtesy of a first-round TKO loss against UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos. This fight will therefore be an opportunity for him to get back on the winning column. To his advantage, Cerrone is an all-rounded fighter, capable of destroying you on the air with his devastating kicks to the head or body while also being able to take it with you on the ground. His aerial game is best demonstrated by the knee-to-the chin headkick that broke John Makdessi’s jaw in May 2015 and won him the fight. Meanwhile, his terrific ground game is attested to by the fact that he has won more fights via submission (15) than via knockout (5).
Conversely, the Brazilian Cowboy is just as lethal as Cerrone, if not better. In his short UFC career so far, he’s proven to be a hell-of-a-fighter, and the fact that he is coming off a third-round knockout of Piotr Hallman in his last outing in November 2015 means he will come into this fight buzzing with a lot of confidence. Other than his amazing striking ability that makes him a solid knockout technician, Oliveira is also a master grappler, as was witnessed in his fights against the likes of Joe Merritt and K.J. Noons.
Cerrone vs. Oliveira MMA Betting Picks and Prediction: Oliveira outlasts Cerrone and wins by decision.
Other UFC Fight Night 83 MMA Odds Predictions:
Derek Brunson (14-3) vs. Roan Carneiro (20-9) Middleweight Fight Prediction
MMA Line: Brunson (-340) vs. Carneiro (+260)
While Carneiro’s Jiu Jitsu could be troubling, Brunson (who is on a three-fight winning streak, including back-to-back KOs in his last two fights) is skilled enough to batter the hell out of Carneiro for a dominant win.
MMA Picks: Brunson wins by KO within the first two rounds.
Cody Garbrandt (7-0) vs. Augusto Mendes (5-0) Bantamweight Fight Prediction
MMA Line: Garbrandt vs. Mendes
With both fighters undefeated so far, I am inclined to side slightly with the one with more fight experience, so Garbrandt get the nod from me.
MMA Picks: Garbrandt outmatches Mendes’ grappling with his solid strikes, leading to a win for him and Team Alpha Male.
Dennis Bermudez (14-5) vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri (35-8-2) Featherweight Fight Prediction
MMA Line: Bermudez (-340) vs. Kawajiri (+260)
While Kawajiri’s experience is unquestionable, along with his renowned power jabs and solid wrestling skills; he is definitely going to have his work cut out for him in Bermudez who possess all the above skills plus solid athleticism and good kicking ability.
MMA Picks: Bermudez and Kawajiri give us a wrestle-fest, with Bermudez eventually coming out on top with a decision win.
Chris Camozzi (22-10) vs. Joe Riggs (41-16) Middleweight Fight Prediction
MMA Line: Camozzi (-260) vs. Riggs (+200)
It’s not that Camozzi is a great fighter, it is just that Riggs stinks when it comes to facing good opponents.
MMA Picks: Camozzi slugs his way to a KO win within the first two rounds.
James Krause vs. Shane Campbell
MMA Line: Krause (-155) vs. Campbell (+125)
Considering 14 of his victories have come via submission, it goes without saying that Krause has a very solid ground game. Campbell, meanwhile, is master at kickboxing, with a very lethal combo of knee kicks and power jabs. I like Krause a lot, but I have a feeling Campbell will avoid too many takedowns, which should eventually allow him to score enough aerial points for a win.
MMA Picks: Campbell upsets Krause, winning via split decision.
