UFC Fight Night: Poirier Vs Hooker Odds & Picks for June 27th

While the rest of the sporting world continues to slowly return to action, the UFC continues to deliver the goods from the Apex in Las Vegas. The events are coming thick and fast, with the next one set to go this coming Saturday night, June 27. As is always the case these days, this fight night can be seen on ESPN+, albeit with a bit of a smaller main card than we have become accustomed to. Instead of the usual 5 fights that we get on a UFC main card, this one will have 4, but they all look to be quality bouts, with the Poirier Vs Hooker matchup serving as the headline fight. Let’s take a closer look inside the main card to see if we can come up with some winners so you can plan ahead your bets against their MMA odds.

UFC Fight Night: Poirier Vs Hooker Odds & Picks for June 27th

Dustin Poirier Vs Dan Hooker | Lightweight Bout

Gian Villante (+195) Vs Maurice Greene (-240)

The big boys will be stepping into the octagon to open the main card, as we get rolling with a heavyweight bout featuring a pair of fighters with contrasting styles. Villante, who has a record of 17-11 has won almost 60% of his fights via KO, so he will be looking to keep Greene at bay with that power. Maurice Greene has won half of his 8 fights via submission, so he will be looking to take it to the mat. I think that this is a fight that could well end up going the distance, with Greene winning by UD.

Brendan Allen (-300) Vs Kyle Daukaus (+240)

Next up we have a middleweight bout between a pair of fighters looking to make their mark under the UFC banner. Allen has already had a couple of fights in the UFC, winning both of those to extend his career mark to 13-3. Both of those wins were stoppages, with the second round being the deepest he has gone in UFC. This will be the first appearance in the UFC for Daukaus, who has remained unbeaten to get to this point. I think that Allen might be too much for Daukaus, so look for him to finish this one quickly.

Mike Perry (-305) Vs Mickey Gall (+245)

The penultimate fight of the night is a welterweight bout that features another pair of fighters who have totally different styles. Mike Perry is all brute force and striking power, getting to a 13-6 career mark by winning 85% of his fights by KO. He is going to need to tread carefully against Gall, though, as this is a fighter with excellent takedown abilities who will be looking to get the job done on the mat. Gall is 5-2, with 83% of his fights ending in submission. I think Perry get the KO quickly here.

Dustin Poirier (-210) Vs Dan Hooker (+170)

The headline fight of the night is a lightweight bout between a pair of fighters who have designs on a title shot. Poirier comes into this one ranked #3 in the division, sporting a record of 25-6. Half of his fights come by way of KO, although he does have some wrestling wins too. His stats in that regard are eerily similar to those of Hooker, who has a record of 21-8. Neither of these fighters tend to go the distance, so let’s go with Poirier to win in the later rounds.
