Chicago Bears 2019 NFL Season Betting Guide

Well, the hiring of former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, the addition of superstar linebacker Khalil Mack and the continued maturation of now, third-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, clearly impacted the Chicago Bears in a positive way a year ago. After stunning the NFL and their division rivals by going a stellar 12-4 in 2018, the reigning NFC North champs are looking to reach even bigger heights in 2019.

Whether Chicago can reach the postseason for consecutive seasons or not, there are a bunch of things that every NFL betting enthusiast needs to know about the Bears before they take to the gridiron for the upcoming campaign. Thankfully, that’s where I come in with some expert betting insight on Chicago that could help you cash in on the Bears all season long. let’s get started.

Chicago Bears 2019 NFL Season Betting Guide

Betting Statistics

  • ATS: 12-4 (W-L) / 12-4-0 (ATS) / 7-1-0 (Home) / 5-3-0 (Away) / 9-3-0 (Grass) / 3-1-0 (Turf)
  • O/U: 8-8 (W-L) / 4-4-0 (Home) / 4-4-0 (Away) / 6-6-0 (Grass) / 2-2-0 (Turf) / 44.0 (Total)
OffenseNot only did the Bears unfurl a stupendous 12-4 record in 2018, but they also covered the chalk seven times in eight home games while also going 5-3 ATS on the road. Chicago’s impressive offense, combined with their lockdown defense, led to a dead even 8-8 O/U mark that included identical 4-4 O/U marks at home and on the road.
  • Total Yards: 343.9 / Rank 21
  • Passing Yards: 222.8 / Rank 21
  • Rushing Yards: 121.1 /Rank 11
  • Points Scored: 26.3 / Rank 9
  • Field Goal %: 76.7 / Rank 27

While the Bears finished a solid 11th in rushing, they ranked just 21st in passing. Still, Chicago managed to finish the 2018 campaign ranked an encouraging ninth in scoring (26.3 ppg) under the offensive-minded Nagy. To address their needs, Chicago signed former Patriots wideout Cordarrelle Patterson, former Seahawks running back Mike Davis and former Dolphins offensive lineman Ted Larsen in free agency. The Bears also drafted Iowa State running back David Montgomery in the third round while adding Georgia wide receiver Riley Ridley in the fourth round.

  • Total Yards: 299.7 / Rank 3
  • Passing Yards: 219.7 / Rank 7
  • Rushing Yards: 80 /Rank 1
  • Points Allowed: 17.7 / Rank 1
  • Field Goal %: 96.2 / Rank 31

Chicago lived up to its old ‘Monsters of the Midway’ name by routinely shutting down their opponents last season. The Bears finished third in total defense, seventh against the pass and first in both, rushing yards allowed and points allowed (17.7 ppg). The Bears signed former Packers safety Clinton Ha-Ha Dix, former Jets cornerback Buster Skrine in free agency and re-signed punter Pat O’Donnell. Chicago also named former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano as their new defensive coordinator to replace Vic Fangio. Pagano coached the Colts for six seasons while winning two AFC South titles and making three consecutive playoff appearances (2012 to 2014). The Bears also have a bunch of kickers in camp as they look to  replace playoff goat Cody Parkey.

Team Leaders

  • Touchdowns: Jordan Howard (9)
  • Rushing: Jordan Howard (935)
  • Passing: Mitchell Trubisky (3223)
  • Receiving: Allen Robinson II (754)
  • Sacks: Khalil Mack (12.5)
  • Interceptions:  Kyle Fuller (7)

Star running back Jordan Howard led the team in touchdowns and rushing yards, although he failed to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his three-year career after putting up 1,313 yards as a rookie in 2016 and 1,122 yards in 2017. Mitchell Trubisky showed a lot of growth in completing 66.6 percent of his passes after completing a modest 59.4 percent as a rookie. Trubisky also had 24 TD passes and just 12 picks after throwing seven of each in a dozen starts as a rookie. Khalil Mack had a team-high 12.5 sacks, although he also had a whopping six forced fumbles, 37 solo tackles and one interception.

Maybe it’s me or maybe it’s the fact that the Bears have been completely transformed on both sides of the ball, but I believe Chicago is going to reach the double-digit win mark for the second straight season in 2019. The Bears have one of the best offensive-minded coaches in the game today, a young quarterback that has star potential and a superstar defensive leader that lifts the play of everyone around him. I’m thinking 0 10 wins is a minimum for the Bears in 2019.

My only complaint is about the payout process because it charges a lot of fee for sending money. Other then that I like the user mobile friendly interface and customer service is excellent.
