MotoGP 2021 Dutch TT Betting Preview & Predictions

When you are a fan of a sport, you always want to see the best athletes taking part. In MotoGP, the best since 2013 has been Marc Marquez, as he has won 6 titles in that time. Injury kept him out of the majority of the 2020 season, and while he has tried to return this season, he has suffered a few setbacks along the way. That may have changed now, though, as Marquez is coming off a win last weekend in Germany. He is now in the top 10 in the rider standings, and while he is well off the pace, you can bet that there are going to be some casting glances over their shoulders the rest of the way. This weekend, the action will shift to the Netherlands for the next race. Let’s take a look at the current top 4 in the standings so you can get ready to bet against their MotoGP odds.

MotoGP Betting Analysis for the Dutch Tourist Trophy

Fabio Quartararo

We are at the stage of the season where we are going to see if Fabio Quartararo learned anything from last season. At this point of the year in 2020, he had 3 wins and looked to be on his way to a championship, but he fell apart in the final races of the season and ended up finishing 8th overall. Here we are now, and Quartararo once again has 3 wins and a pretty decent lead at the top of the MotoGP standings. The good news is that the Netherlands is a place where he has traditionally done well, landing a podium finish in each of his last 2 runs, although one of those was at the Moto2 level. We will soon find out just how mentally tough he is.

Johann Zarco

This has been a breakout season for Zarco up to this point, although he is also still looking for his first win at the MotoGP level. He has come ridiculously close this season to getting that first win and has had no less than 4 2nd place finishes up to this point. He is one of just 3 riders who have picked up 100 points or more this season, but you do have to wonder if he can keep this momentum going. He has had one previous run in the Netherlands at this level, failing to finish that one.

Jack Miller

You have to hand it to Miller for hanging in there this season after requiring surgery after the 2nd race of the season. He did not miss a race, but he crashed early in Portugal in his first race back. While some saw that as a sign that he may have returned too soon, Miller soon silenced those people by winning each of the next 2 races. He has a podium finished and has not finished worse than 6th in the 3 races since those wins, so he is very much in this race. He did win in the Netherlands in 2016, but he hasn’t come close since.

Francesco Bagnaia

This is another rider in the midst of a breakout season after finishing 15th and 16th in his first 2 seasons in MotoGP. He closed out his time in Moto2 by winning a championship, but he has had a tough time making the transition to the next level. He is still looking for his first win at this level, but he has also come close, landing on the podium 3 times in 2021. He won in the Netherlands in his final season in Moto2, but ran 14th in his only run there in MotoGP.
