The regular season is in the books in college football, but we are all still waiting to see which 4 teams will be heading into the playoffs. That will all be decided this weekend after we see the outcomes of the Conference Championship Games, after which the Playoff Committee will make their final decision on Sunday night. Given what has gone down this season, we can probably expect a surprise or two more before this whole thing is said and done. Winning a conference title is no small feat, even for those teams who do not ply their trade in one of the more glamorous conferences. It’s a smaller schedule than usual, but it’s a good one, so let’s get to our ATS picks for Conference Championship Weekend so you can continue placing your bets against the NCAAF odds.
Conference Championship ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NCAA Football Betting
Oregon Ducks Vs Utah Utes (-3)
Sometimes, there is more to football than what takes place on the field. The Utah Utes lost a couple of players to shootings this season, which prompted the rest of the team to dedicate the remainder of the season to their fallen teammates. The Utes have lived up to that promise, winning 7 of their last 8, including a 38-7 trouncing of the Ducks in Week 12. We all know how tough it is to beat the same team twice in a single season, but this Utah team is on a mission. Despite that previous loss, this is still a 10-win Oregon team, so can we expect them to fold the same way they did in the previous meeting with Utah? Week 14 has not been kind to Oregon, as they are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 in this week of the season. Utah is much the same with that stat, but I just think they are destined to win and cover here.
Oklahoma State Cowboys (-5) Vs Baylor Bears
This is more than just the Big 12 Conference Championship Game for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, as it may also serve as their entry into the college football playoffs. The Cowboys remained very much in the hunt for a spot in the final four with a huge won over Oklahoma this past weekend. At 11-1, Oklahoma State has a legitimate shot at a postseason place with a win here, although doing so in some considerable style may also help their cause. For that to happen, they are going to need to get past a Baylor team that has won 3 in a row and 6 of their last 7. It was their win over Oklahoma during that run that gave them the tiebreaker and a spot in this game. While the Bears are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games, they are just 5-11 ATS in their last 16 versus the Cowboys. Oklahoma State is a magnificent 9-0-1 ATS in their last 10.
USC Trojans (+4) at California Golden Bears
The PAC 12 Conference Championship Game, which we have already discussed, goes on Friday night, but it is not the last of the action for that conference this weekend. USC and Cal will play on Saturday night in a game that is basically meaningless, as neither team can even get themselves bowl eligible at this point. Still, there are going to be a lot of players on the Trojans who will be looking to impress their new head coach, with Lincoln Riley jumping from Oklahoma to USC earlier this week. Riley will not be in charge of this game, but you can bet that he will be watching. USC is just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games, but they are also 11-4 ATS in their last 15 meetings with California.
