There are just a couple of weeks remaining in the college football season before we get to the Conference Championship Games. That’s not a lot of time for teams to make their final move, but these final games could have an impact on everything, including who makes it into the playoffs. There are some absolutely huge games on the schedule in the next couple of weeks, but this weekend could potentially answer some questions that we have in each of the individual conferences. We will almost certainly touch on some of those games in our picks for the week, so keep an eye out for all our selections for Week 12 of the college football season. Let’s get the ball rolling by making some picks against the spread so you can keep making your bets against the College Football Betting Odds.
Week 12 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NCAA Football Betting
Michigan State Spartans (+19) at Ohio State Buckeyes
One of the best conference races going on right now is in the Big Ten, with the East and West Divisions still up for grabs at this late stage of the season. The East Division should look a little clearer after this weekend, as this game is essentially an elimination duel. The Ohio State Buckeyes are sitting atop the division, but their final two games are against the two teams – Michigan State and Michigan – that can still run them down. The Buckeyes have been rolling, while the Spartans managed to bounce back after a surprise loss to Purdue. That loss is the lone blight against the spread in the last 6 games for the Spartans, who are 5-1 ATS during that run. Ohio State has covered in 5 of their last 7, but I think this one will be a little closer than the 19-point spread.
Michigan Wolverines (-14 ½) at Maryland Terrapins
It may sound a little odd, but Michigan is likely to be pulling for their biggest rivals this weekend, as a win for Ohio State keeps the door open for the Wolverines in the Big Ten East. Their lone loss in conference play came at the hands of the Spartans, so a win for Michigan State this weekend would all but kill Michigan’s shot at the Conference Championship Game. That said, they cannot look beyond this game to their meeting with Ohio State in the final week of the regular season, and I don’t believe that will be an issue. Michigan has won 5 of their last 6 meetings with Maryland, outscoring them by an average of 26 PPG in those meetings. The Wolverines have covered in each of their last 5 meetings with Maryland, so expect more of the same this weekend.
Minnesota Golden Gophers (-7) at Indiana Hoosiers
With so much at stake in the Big ten, we are looking to try and make it a conference sweep with our against the spread picks. Minnesota is currently a real longshot to win the West Division, as they have had back -to-back losses to fall to 4-3 in conference play. Where they have been a good bet is in conference games, going 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 outings versus teams from the Big Ten. They have also covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 meetings with Indiana. It has been a and year for the Hoosiers, who are currently sitting at 0-7 in conference play, while also going 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
