UFC 267: Blachowicz vs. Teixeira Odds & Predictions

The last few weeks have seen the UFC events start a little earlier in the day. It will be even earlier this weekend at UFC 267, with the event set to be held in Abu Dhabi. If you want to tune into this one, you are going to need to get up relatively early, with the main card set to start at 10:30 AM EST. It’s certainly a card worth getting up early for, as there are 6 fights in total, 2 of which are title bouts. We have a lot of ground to cover, so let’s look at the matchup and the UFC odds, with predictions for each fight also included.

UFC 267: Blachowicz vs. Teixeira Odds & Analysis | MMA Betting Preview

Magomed Ankalaev (-300) Vs Volkan Oezdemir (+240)

The event begins with a Light Heavyweight bout, with both of these fighters currently ranked in the top 10 in the division. Ankalaev continues to rise and comes in with a 15-1 record and a 6-fight win streak. Oezdemir is heading in the opposite direction after taking 3 losses in his last 5 fights, including his previous one. I like Ankalaev to continue rolling with a KO win.

Jingliang Li (+395) Vs Khamzat Chimaev (-570)

This Middleweight bout serves as a great opportunity for Chimaev to continue climbing the ranks. He is out to a great start as a pro, winning each of his first 9 fights, which includes 3 under the UFC banner. He will have a tough time of it against Li, who comes into this bout with an 18-6 career mark. A tough challenge, but I think Chimaev is up to the task.

Alexander Volkov (-305) Vs Marcin Tybura (+245)

Next up is a Heavyweight bout that I would be surprised to see go the distance. Volkov is 33-9, but he has been a little up and down of late, going 2-2 over his last 4 fights. Tybura comes into this one on a 5-fight winning streak, taking his record to 22-6 in the process. We might well see some fireworks here and I think it will be Volkov with the KO win.

Islam Makhachev (-610) Vs Dan Hooker (+410)

We have the Lightweights up next, and while these guys are both ranked in the top 10, one is a very clear favorite. That would be Makhachev, who comes in with a 20-1 record and a win streak that is now at 8. Hooker is 21-10, but he is heading in the wrong direction after losing 2 of his last 3 fights. I think Makhachev gets this one by decision.

Petr Yan (-220) Vs Cory Sandhagen (+180)

While Bantamweight champion continues to recover from neck surgery, these two fighters will step into the octagon for an interim championship bout. Yan lost to Sterling last time out after delivering an illegal knee. He now sits at 15-2. Sandhagen is 14-3 and on a run where he has gone 2-2 in his last 4, including a loss to the champ. I think this one goes the distance, with Yan getting the decision.

Jan Blachowicz (-305) Vs Glover Texeira (+245)

The final fight of the night is for the Light Heavyweight title, with Blachowicz looking to defend his belt. Blachowicz has won 5 in a row and 8 of his last 9 fights, so not an easy man to beat. Texeira comes in at 32-7 and earned his shot by winning each of his last 5 fights. He will put up a battle, but I think the champ will get the KO win.
