AAF Week 4 Betting Odds, Preview & Expert Picks

Written by on February 25, 2019

There are always going to be teething issues when a new sports league gets started, so it should perhaps come as no surprise that the Alliance of American Football needed a $250 million investment last week. While some saw this as a sign that the league was already in trouble, Chairman, and investor, Ton Dundon said that this was not the case.

Reports of potentially missed wages were explained away as a glitch in the new payroll system, with Dundon saying that the league has a long, bright future ahead of it. We are all in on the AAF, so let’s look ahead to the Week 4 match-ups to see what we have in store, and be sure to check back for the latest and better AAF Odds.

AAF Week 4 Betting Odds, Preview & Expert Picks

Orlando Apollos at Salt Lake City Stallions

This one is the opening game of the week and will go at 4 PM EST on Saturday, with the game airing on B/R Live. Orlando moved to 3-0 on the season, with a tight 21-17 win over Memphis in Week 3. There is now a 2-horse race developing in the East, with Orlando and Birmingham battling it out for supremacy.

The Apollos will head West this weekend to face a Stallions team that got their first win of the season last week. While it was nice for Salt Lake to get that win, I think they go back to losing ways this weekend.

San Diego Fleet at Memphis Express

The 8 PM EST Saturday night game can be seen live on the NFL Network, and it features a Memphis Express team still looking for their first win of the season. They were perhaps a little unfortunate to come out on the losing end versus Orlando this week, but you don’t get points for being close.

They could be in trouble again this weekend against a Fleet team coming off a big 31-11 win over the San Antonio Commanders. The Fleet could land atop the West here with a win, which I think they will get.

San Antonio Commanders at Birmingham Iron

The Sunday schedule gets underway at 4 PM EST with this game, which can be seen on the CBS Sports Network. The West Division in the AAF is proving to be a little more competitive than the East, with the Commanders still in touch with the top despite going 1-2 to start the season.

The Commanders are not a safe AAF Week 4 Betting pick.

Whether they can maintain the pace with the leaders remains to be seen, though, especially since their next game up is a road tilt with the unbeaten Birmingham Iron. Birmingham maintained their 100% record last week with a comfortable win over winless Atlanta.

Atlanta Legends at Arizona Hotshots

The final game on the Week 4 AAF schedule will go on Sunday night at 8 PM EST on the NFL Network. It will see the Atlanta Legends head west in search of their first win of the season. It has been a rough, rough start to the season for the Legends, particularly on the offensive side of the football, where they have simply failed to get anything going through the first 3 weeks.

The Hotshots are tied for the lead in the West with a 2-1 record, which includes being 1-0 versus teams from the East. Look for them to improve that record this weekend.
