Here it is, folks. The culmination of the CFL season is this Sunday. This season has had its fair share of ups and downs, but we finally made it to the 109th Grey Cup final game in Regina, Saskatchewan.
In the playoffs thus far, there has yet to be an upset. Last week, both two seeds, Montreal and BC, got bounced from the postseason.
It is very chalky, but this is the Grey Cup many expected. The Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will square off in this year’s title game! Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming match so you can bet against their Grey Cup Odds.
You won’t want to miss this game.
109th Grey Cup Betting Preview and Predictions | CFL Odds
Toronto Argonauts (+6) vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers (-205)
This season, the Argos have been dominant in the east division. Finishing the season at a respectable 11-7, the weak east division could not stop them as they won seven of ten division games this year.
This is easily due in part to their fantastic aerial attack led by McLeod Bethel-Thompson. Bethel-Thompson led the league in passing yards. His favorite target was Kurleigh Gittens Jr., who eclipsed over 1k yards this year.
The Argos’ offense was great at getting yards, but sometimes points were few and far between as they averaged 25 per game. With a solid defense that surrendered under 24 points per game and two sacks per game, this is a great team with some excellent upside.
Of course, Winnipeg is here. The Blue Bombers are going for their third consecutive Grey Cup victory. The winning has not stopped in Manitoba.
They finished atop the CFL at a whopping 15-3 and dominated every team around them. This team was built for this moment.
Both their offense and defense were top of the league, to no surprise. Reigning MOP Zach Collaros led the number one offense to yet another great year.
This offense averaged 30 points and nearly 400 yards per game. Rookie Dalton Schoen has been fantastic as he led the league in receiving yards 1,400 and 16 scores!
Covering him has been a nightmare. Even if they have him covered, other wideouts, such as Nic Demski and Rasheed Bailey, have found success.
This amazing offense was complemented by the best defense in the league. Their defense surrendered a league-low of 20.6 points per game. They had a top-three run and passing defense.
Just about nothing got past this Winnipeg team. The Bombers were built to win this game and are clearly the best team in the league.
Betting Prediction
This weekend we will see history unfold in front of our eyes. For the first time since the Edmonton Elks, we will have a three-peat in Canadian football.
The Bombers will go back to back to back! While Toronto has proven to be a worthy adversary, they just do not have the roster to win or cover the spread against this elite unit of All-stars.
