Okay NASCAR betting faithful. With the 2019 campaign steamrolling toward a fast and furious finish, it’s time to take preview the latest edition in the chase for this season’s NASCAR championship. The 35th of 36 season-long Monster Energy NASCAR races is set to get underway on Sunday, November 10, at 2:30 PM ET, when the 2019 Bluegreen Vacations 500 gets underway live from ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona.
More importantly, when this event, formerly known as the Can Am 500, goes down live this weekend, it will be win or go home time for four of the eight remaining drivers in this year’s Cup Championship Playoffs. Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, and Chase Elliott all need a victory to advance to qualify for this year’s championship race. The four drivers that do advance will head to Homestead-Miami Speedway next week for a shot at the 2019 NASCAR championship. Now, let’s take a look at the NASCAR odds, before I share my top five picks to win and cash in!

Joey Logano
The reigning NASCAR champ has finished a modest 17th, 8th and fourth over his last three races, but he has managed to win once on this track back in the fall of 2016 and he’s also recorded three other Top 5 finishes in 21 career appearances at ISM. Logano has two wins on the year, but none since June and he owns a modest career finishing average of just 15.24 at ISM.
-
Martin Truex Jr.
Not only does the playoff-leading Truex Jr. have a season-high seven victories on the year, but he’s finished sixth, first and sixth again in his last three races. The only negative is that Truex Jr. has never won on this track although he did finish second here in March and owns four career Top 5 finishes while owning a modest career average of 15.85 at ISM Raceway.
-
Denny Hamlin
Hamlin finished 28th and fourth in his previous two races before taking the checkered flag in Texas last weekend. Currently fifth in the playoff chase standings, Hamlin also won on this track back in the spring of 2012 and he’s won an impressive four races since late July. Hamlin has also recorded 11 other top five finishes on this track including a fifth place finish here in The TicketGuardian 500 in March. Hamlin has an average finish of 11.32 at ISM.
-
Kyle Busch
There’s a reason why Kyle Busch is the co-favorite heading into this race and it’s because he’s won each of the last two races on this track and three times in his career at ISM, including last year’s playoff chase event. In addition to that, Busch has recorded a trio of second place finishes on this track while owning a solid average finish of 11.07. Still, it’s been a whopping 20 races since Busch last found himself taking a checkered flag since last winning at Pocono Raceway in June. Not only that, but Busch, who is currently third in the playoff standings, has finished third, 14th, and seventh in his last three races.
-
Kevin Harvick
I don’t know why Kevin Harvick, who is second in the playoff standings, isn’t the unequivocal favorite in this event, but in my mind he should be. Harvick finished ninth in Kansas three races ago and seventh at Martinsville two weeks ago before taking the checkered flag last weekend in Texas. Not only is Harvick consistently giving himself a chance to win, but he’s also dominated at ISM Raceway by winning five straight races on this track from 2013-2015 while winning six times in an eight-race span from 2012-2016. In 33 career races at ISM, Harvick has also recorded seven other top five finishes, including a pair of second place finishes. I see no reason why Harvick won’t win again this year, which is why he’s my top pick to bring home the bacon in the 2019 Bluegreen 500!
