Which driver among Kyle Busch, Truex Jr., Keselowski, and Kevin Harvick has the best chance of winning the NASCR Gander RV 400?
No doubt, Kyle Busch should offer favorite’s odds. He won the Gander 400 in 2017 and then repeated his victory last year. Busch also ranks first on the 2019 Monster Energy Cup Standings. Another reason to like Kyle? At the last race at Pocono on June 2 Busch took the checkered flag. All of it adds up to a likely Kyle Busch three-peat Gander 400 win on Sunday.
We’d be amiss if we didn’t try to beat him, though. Among the other favorites, Kevin Harvick has the best shot of taking down Busch. Harvick won the pole at last year’s Gander 400. He finished fourth.
Kevin goes into this Sunday’s race after winning at New Hampshire on July 21. This is the time of the year when Harvick puts together a string of great finishes. He could take home the trophy on July 28 and deserves a long look to upset Busch.
Which driver between +1000 and +2000 odds can win the race on Sunday?
Ryan Blaney had a terrible run at Daytona. He did finish fourth at New Hampshire on July 21, though. Not only that, but he finished a respectable twelfth both at the Gander 400 last year and at Pocono on July 2. Blaney offers decent odds at +2000 and has a chance to take the checkered flag on Sunday.
Is there a driver between +2500 and +5000 odds that can win the 2019 Gander RV 400?
Erik Jones has heated up. Jones finished eighth at Sonoma, seventh at Chicago, third at Kentucky, and then third at New Hampshire last Sunday. Save for a twenty-third place finish at Daytona on July 6, he and his crew have been fantastic.
Jones offers overlay odds at +2500. His true chances of winning at Pocono are much better than that. He finished fifth at the Gander 400 in 2018 and finished third at Pocono on July 2. Jones has a chance at really good odds.
What 5-digit odds longshot driver listed can take the checkered flag on July 28?
Ryan Newman continued to get shunned by both oddsmakers and NASCAR handicappers. On one hand, it makes total sense. He hasn’t won a race this year. He also finished sixteenth at Pocono on July 2.
Then again, Newman has finished in the Top 10 in 5 of the last 6 NASCAR Monster Energy events. He finished eight at the Gander 400 last year. Although Newman’s chances of winning on Sunday aren’t great, bettors do get +12500 on a driver having great success breaking the Top 10 in recent races.
The odds most definitely justify a long look at Ryan Newman. If you’re looking for a 5-digit odds underdog, Newman might be the driver to back.
