2021 NASCAR Expert Analysis for March 6th & 7th Races

Written by on March 4, 2021

It’s another busy weekend in the world of NASCAR, with the drivers heading to Las Vegas for what promises to be an action-filled few days of racing. It has been a bit of an odd start to the Cup Series, with the three races run to this point all being won by longshots. The standings, though, as are they looked for most of last season, with Harvick and Hamlin duking it out at the top. There is still and awful lot of racing to come and things will return to a more predictable set of race outcomes, or as predictable as it gets in this sport. We will take a deeper look at the Cup Series event on Friday, bit for now, let’s briefly go over what’s happening in the Xfinity Series and Cup Series in Sin City, including taking a very quick look at potential favorites for both races so you can bet against their NASCAR odds.

Cup Series & Xfinity Series Events for the Weekend | NASCAR Betting

Xfinity Series – Alsco Uniforms 300 – Saturday at 4:30 PM EST

Much like the Cup Series, the Xfinity Series has been especially tough to predict this season, with a couple of surprise winners hitting through the opening 3 races. We will talk about the favorites here, but we will also have a longshot pick that might well be worth a look.

Austin Cindric (+170) won the championship last season and has already made it very clear that he intends to go all out to win it again. He opened the season with a win at Daytona and is sitting atop the Xfinity Series standings as we speak. He had a pair of runs at Vegas last season, and while he did not win, he did manage a 2nd and a 6th.

Noah Gragson (+450) had a 5th place overall finish last season, but he is off to a poor start this year and needs a good run to get back in business. He finished in the top 5 in both races at the Vegas Motor Speedway last year, so every reason to believe he might break out on Saturday.

If you are looking to take a shot at going with a dark horse, why not take a look at Myatt Snider (+3300)? He is fresh off a win last weekend and is now sitting second in the driver standings. Is this a fluke start or is this guy ready to challenge for a title?

Cup Series – Pennzoil 400 – Sunday 3:30 PM EST

As mentioned earlier, we will be delivering a full preview of this race on Friday, but for now, it’s all about taking a quick peek at the current favorites. It is martin Truex Jr. (+550) who is in as the favorite for now despite the fact that he is not off to a particularly great start to the season. He is down in 9th in the overall driver standings at the moment.

No surprise that Kevin Harvick (+650) is up among the favorites, as he has made a consistent start to the season, although he is yet to pick up a win, which is something that will almost certainly change sooner rather than later.

Denny Hamlin (+700) is a lot like Harvick in that he has yet to win, but he has been consistently in among the leaders in each of the 3 races. It seems clear that he and Harvick are ready to take another run at the title they both came close to last season.
