We are 8 races into the 2021 Xfinity Series season, and we have a tight race going at the top of the driver standings. This is because the wins have been spread out over several different drivers, with only one of them managing more than a single win through the opening couple of months of the season. This weekend, NASCAR heads to Darlington, with the Xfinity Series race, the Steakhouse Elite 200, set to go on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM EST. As we look ahead to this race, let’s take a closer look at the current top 4 drivers in the standings so you can get all set to make your bets against their NASCAR odds.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Analysis for Steakhouse Elite 200 Race
Austin Cindric
As we mentioned earlier, there is only one driver with multiple wins in the Xfinity Series to this point in the season. Austin Cindric is that driver, so it is no surprise that he is sitting atop the driver standings after the first 8 races. He is perhaps a little unfortunate not to be even better off than he already is, as Cindric also has a couple of 2nd place finishes this season, including one at Talladega last weekend. While he will be among the favorites this weekend, it is worth noting that Cindric does not have a win at Darlington in 4 attempts in this series. His best finish was a 4th, which came last season, with one other top 10 finish to his name.
Daniel Hemric
After finishing 3rd and 4th, respectively, in his first 2 seasons in the Xfinity Series, Hemric made the jump to the Cup Series in 2019, but he failed to make much of an impact there. He did not race the full season in 2020, but Hemric looks to be a contender this season after making a very solid start to the year. He has yet to pick up a win on the season, but he has been incredibly consistent, landing in the top 10 on 6 occasions, with 4 of those finishes actually top 5. In 4 races at Darlington, he has not had a ton of joy, with his 6th place finish last season being his best showing at that track.
Harrison Burton
In his first full season in the Xfinity Series, Harrison Burton finished a rather respectable 8th overall, which was all the more impressive when you consider just how difficult a season 2020 proved to be. He is looking to take another step forward this season and has made a very good start through the first 8 races. Burton is still looking for his first win of the season after taking 4 checkered flags last year, but he does have a couple of podium finishes to his name. As far as racing at Darlington goes, Burton finished in the top 10 in both runs there last season.
Jeb Burton
It’s a family affair in the top 4 right now, with cousins Harrison and Jeb Burton off to fantastic starts to the season. This is the first full season in the Xfinity Series for Jeb, and he is certainly making the most of it through the opening 8 races. After a trio of top 5 finishes in the opening 3 races of the season, Burton cooled off just a little, but he bounced back in a big way last week with a win at Talladega. He does not have any runs at Darlington in the Xfinity Series, but his current form suggests he is worth a look.
