John H. Nemechek +325

Nemechek has been busy through the opening 2 weeks of the season, racing in both the Cup and Xfinity Series. He has yet to pick up a win in either and is coming off a less than stellar run in Atlanta last weekend in the Xfinity Series. He did get things started quite well, taking a top 10 finish in Daytona in the opening weekend, but we are all expecting to see more out of him this season. After all, this is a driver who was in the final 4 last season and who many believe is the man to beat this year. Nemechek finished 6th overall in Las Vegas in 2023, so might this bee the week when he puts it all together and gets that first win of the season?

Justin Allgaier +525

If there is one thing that you can almost certainly count on in the Xfinity Series, it’s that Justin Allgaier is going to be in the mix at the end. What you cannot count on, at least up until now, is that he will end the year as the champion. Despite a number of close calls in a stellar career, Allgaier has yet to make that final step. He got this season started with a top 10 run in Daytona, but he had a rough time of it last weekend in Atlanta. Given that Allgaier has finished in the top 5 in Las Vegas in each of the last 2 seasons, it might not be a bad idea to bet on him bouncing back this weekend.

Cole Custer +525

On his return to the Xfinity Series in 2023, Custer had a bit of an up and down regular season, but as soon as the playoffs arrived and the pressure increased, Custer used all of his experience to up his game and deliver when it mattered most. By the time all was said and sone, Custer was the Xfinity Series champion. Through the opening 2 weeks of the season, Custer has landed just outside the top 10 in both races, which is exactly where he landed in this corresponding race last season. He is not at his best right now, but I would still be tempted to take him for a top 10 finish on Saturday.

Riley Herbst +825

In 4 seasons with the Xfinity Series, Herbst has never really been a serious contender for the championship, with 10th being his best overall finish. The way he ended last season, though, suggested that we might well be looking at a driver ready to make a serious breakthrough. We haven’t really seen that carry over into the new season just yet, with Herbst finishing 6th and 15th, respectively, through the opening 2 weeks of the year. He finished 8th in Las Vegas last season and is another driver that looks better as a top 10 bet than a straight up winning one.

Chandler Smith +825

Smith made the move from the Truck Series to the Xfinity Series at the start of last season and had himself a pretty decent debut season, finishing 9th overall in the driver standings. With that experience now under his belt, the feeling is that he might do even better this season, with all signs very much pointing to that being the case. Smith has finished in the top 5 in the opening 2 races of the season and is now heading to a track where he won last year. Taking all of that into account, I would be more than willing to put some money on Smith winning this weekend.

Austin Hill +875

You simply cannot have a better start to the season than what Hill has delivered through the opening 2 weeks. He started things out by winning in Daytona for the 3rd straight season before also going out and winning the second race of the year in Atlanta. The question now is whether he can head into Sin City and make it 3 in a row. All signs seem to point toward this being a distinct possibility given that Hill won this race last season. Still, winning 3 straight races is a big ask and is something that we really don’t see very often. I’d still look at Hill as a top 5 finisher, but 3 in a row might be a bridge too far.

AJ Allmendinger +1200

The veteran of the Xfinity Series is back in Las Vegas to try and get his first win of the season, but while Allmendinger still has a lot to offer at this level, I am not entirely sold on him winning this weekend. He had a top 10 finish in Daytona in the opening race of the season, which he followed up with a 13th place run in Atlanta last weekend. His last win in Sin City with the Xfinity Series came in 2021, whole he finished in the top 10 in this race last season. While I might not consider playing him to win on Saturday, I don’t think that top 10 is a particularly bad bet.
