Like many other sports, NASCAR is somewhat dependent upon the cooperation of Mother Nature in order for races to run as scheduled. With the resumption of racing and the changing of the season schedule, a missed day means that a lot of races are going to be affected. The Alsco Uniforms 500, which was meant to go off on Wednesday night, has now been moved to Thursday after rain caused a postponement. That has had a ripple effect on the schedule, with the Xfinity Series Cheddar 300 now moved to Monday, June 1. That race will take place at the Bristol Motor Speedway and will serve as the 7th race in the Xfinity Series. Let’s take a closer look at some of the top drivers in the series along with their NASCAR odds, as they are the ones likely to be vying for the checkered flag.

Chase Briscoe

The driver standings in the Xfinity Series see Chase Briscoe sitting at the top after the first 6 races of the season. Briscoe has been in fine form and has already picked up a pair of wins on the season. Overall, he has finished in the top 10 in 4 of his 6 races this season, which means that he is likely to be near the front of the pack heading into the final few lap. Briscoe had little success at Bristol in his first 2 starts there back in 2018, but he put that right last year, finishing 4th and 2nd in two starts.

Austin Cindric

Cindric has yet to pick up a win this season, but that does not mean that he should be counted out, as he has been one of the most consistent drivers in the series. Through the first 6 races of the season, Cindric had landed in the top 10 5 different times, with 4 of those races actually ending with him in the top 5. Cindric has raced twice at Bristol, both in the truck series, finishing in the top 10 in one of those races. He might be a bit of a longshot here to win the Cheddar’s 300.

Ross Chastain

Chastain finds himself in 3rd in the Xfinity series standings through the first 6 races of the season, bi the projections have him finishing down in 7th. While he has landed in the top 10 in 5 of the 6 races, he has only been in the top 5 once and has yet to pick up a win. All of that would suggest that he might not be the best bet on the board. The fact that he has never finished better than 26th in his 4 races at Bristol also suggests that you may want to look elsewhere.

Harrison Burton

If you want to talk about consistency this season, you need to start talking about Harrison Burton. Not only does he have a win under his belt, he has finished in the top 10 in each of the 6 races on the season. 4 of those, including the win, have been in the top 5, so this is a driver that is always up near the lead, every single time. I am going to go out on a limb and pick Burton to take the checkered flag on Monday night.
