Written by on June 19, 2020

With the 2020 NASCAR Monster Energy season rolling right along with its post-pandemic schedule and heading into Alabama for the first of two trips, it’s time to find out which drivers are offering the best value against their 2020 GEICO 500 betting odds. With a handful of drivers looking like good picks this coming weekend, let’s find out which drivers make my top five picks to win and cash in on Sunday, June 21 at Talladega Speedway, along with their NASCAR odds.

NASCAR GEICO 500 Odds and Predictions – My Top 5 Picks To Find Pay-Dirt!

Odds to Win 2020 GEICO 500

No. 1  – Brad Keselowski, +1000

Currently in fourth place in the NASCAR Monster Energy standings, Keselowski has recorded an impressive nine Top 10 finishes in 12 races, five Top 5 finishes and a pair of wins at Charlotte and Bristol. More importantly, the 2012 NASCAR champion has ripped off a stupendous seven straight Top 10 finishes coming into this race while recording 11 top 10 finishes at Talladega, seven Top 5 finishes and five victories at Talladega in his career. With an average finish of 8.9 this season, Keselowski is my top pick to win the 2020 GEICO 500!

No. 2 – Ryan Blaney, +1400

Currently fifth in the standings, Blaney has six Top 10 finishes and an identical six Top 5 finishes this year. More importantly, Blaney has finished an encouraging fourth, second and third in the last three races at Atlanta, Martinsville and Homestead respectively. In 11 career starts at Talladega, Blaney has a trio of Top 10 finishes, a pair of Top 5 finishes and a win in last year’s fall race, the 1000Bulbs.com 500. Simple and plain, I love Blaney’s value as a +1400 pick.

No. 3 – Joey Logano +1000

Currently third in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, Logano has a half-dozen Top 10 finishes in 12 races to go along with a trio of Top 5 finishes and a pair of wins at Las Vegas and Phoenix. Sure, the 2018 NASCAR champion finished a disappointing 27th at Homestead last weekend, but Logano has a trio of wins at Talladega since the fall of 2015, including a win in this event in 2018. With an average finish of 12.1 this year and a bunch of motivation, I think Logano is set to rebound from last weekend’s lackluster effort. In 22 career starts at Talladega, Logano has 10 Top 10 finishes, eight Top five finishes and those three aforementioned wins. Simply put, I like Logano as a value-packed +1000 pick.

No. 4 – Chase Elliott, +1200

Currently in second place in the Monster Energy standings, Elliott has eight Top 10 finishes, six Top 5 finishes and a win at Charlotte last month. Elliott has also finished an encouraging eighth, fifth and second the last three weeks. Increasing his value is the fact that, in eight career starts at Talladega, Elliott has racked up a quartet of Top 10 finishes, three Top 5 finishes and a win in this event last year.

No. 5 – Denny Hamlin +1000

Currently in seventh place in the NASCAR standings, Hamlin has seven Top 10 finishes, six Top 5 finishes and NASCAR-best three victories at the prestigious, season-opening Daytona 500, at Darlington and last weekend, at Homestead. In 28 career starts at Talladega, Hamlin has an impressive 11 Top 10 finishes and seven Top 5 finishes, but just one win at the Aaron’s 499 in 2014. Hamlin also has a pair of 17th place or worse finishes over his last four races and that’s why he’s my No. 5 pick to win the 2020 GEICO 500.
