Bellator 265: Kongo Vs Kharitonov Betting Analysis & Predictions

We have another big weekend of MMA action ahead of us and a lot of ground to cover. As always, we will try to get to as many of the big events as we can, posting predictions and odds for all the fights to try and help you narrow down your wagers. For the purposes of this piece, we will be looking at the Bellator 265 event, which is set to go on Friday night starting at 6 PM EST. There are 5 fights on the main card, and you can catch them all if you are a subscriber to Showtime. This is a pretty solid main card with some very decent matchups on there. We are going to take a quick look at all 5 fights along with their Bellator odds and make predictions for each, so let’s get to it.

Bellator 265 Betting Odds | MMA Analysis

Jornel Lugo (-165) Vs Keith Lee (+140)

The main card opens up with a Bantamweight bout that will have one of these fighters looking to maintain his unbeaten record. That would be Jornel Lugo, who comes into this bout at a perfect 6-0, with each of his last 4 fights going the distance. He will go against Keith Lee, who saw a 4-fight win streak come to an end with a decision loss last time out. This is another fight that I think we will see go the distance and I am on Lugo to stay unbeaten.

Marcelo Golm Vs Billy Swanson

At time of writing, we are still awaiting the odds for this Heavyweight bout, as this is the third potential opponent that Golm has been set to face at this event. Golm is working his way back from a 3-fight losing skid and has now won each of his last 2 fights. Billy Swanson is a very late replacement for Kelvin Tiller, who was also in as a replacement. Swanson is 4-1, but this will be his first Bellator bout. All signs point to Golm getting the job done quickly.

Logan Storley (-3420) Vs Dante Schiro (+1380)

You need only look at the odds to see what the bookies think of this Bantamweight bout. Storley is in as an overwhelming favorite as he looks to bounce back from the first loss of his pro career. That defeat dropped him to 11-1 overall and stalled his progress a little. Schiro is 8-2 and has won 2 in a row after suffering back-to back losses. There is not a lot of value to be found in this fight, but it’s one that Storley should win comfortably.

Jay Jay Wilson (+120) Vs Adam Borics (-140)

This Featherweight bout will serve as the co-main event of the night and will feature another fighter looking to preserve an unbeaten record. Wilson comes in at 8-0, but you have to say that this is his toughest challenge yet. He has won 5 of his 8 fights in the opening round. Borics has a career mark of 17-1 and is on a 3-fight win streak ahead of this bout. This should be a fantastic fight and I have Borics winning by decision.

Cheick Kongo (+105) Vs Sergei Kharitonov (-125)

The main event of the night is a Heavyweight bout that I would be stunned to see go the distance given the stopping power of both fighters. After a run that saw Kongo win 8 straight fights, he has since had a No Contest and a loss in his last 2, taking him to 30-11-2 overall. Kharitonov has won 3 of his last 4 and has made an overall habit of not getting beyond the first couple of rounds. This should be a brawl, but I am on Kongo for the KO win.
