With the weekend almost upon us, it’s time to start looking ahead to some of the big MMA events that are coming our way. One that really jumps off the page is Bellator 264, which will have a title fight as the headline bout. This one is set to kick off at 7”45 PM EST on Friday night and can be viewed by those of you who have Showtime. If you don’t, it might be worth looking into getting on there, as this looks like a very solid main card indeed. All told, there are 5 fights set to go on the main card, with the Middleweight Championship bout sitting at the top. Let’s take a closer look at all 5 fights, with Bellator odds and predictions included.
Bellator 264 Betting Odds | MMA Analysis
Ty Gwerder (-290) Vs Khadzhimurat Bestaev (+235)
We get the main card rolling with a Middleweight bout that features a pair of fighters looking to battle their way out of a bit of a slump. Gwerder is on a run that has seen him lose 2 of his last 3 fights, dropping his record to 5-2 in the process. Bestaev, who is 10-4 overall, has been very up and down of late and has now lost 3 of his last 5 fights, including his last bout. Two men in need of a win, but I think it’s Gwerder who gets it by KO.
Davion Franklin (-280) Vs Everett Cummings (+230)
The big men will be hitting the octagon for the second fight on the main card, with a pair of heavyweights looking to defend their unbeaten records. Franklin is still very early in his pro career, but he is 3-0 and has a pair of 1st round wins. Cummings will be a tough proposition, though, as he comes in with a perfect 15-0 record and a habit of getting the job done quickly. This one could be over in no time at all, with Franklin maintaining that unbeaten run.
Magomed Magomedov (-500) Vs Raufeon Stots (+375)
This is the point of the main card where things really begin to heat up, as these are two very good Bantamweight fighters getting set to square off. Magomedov is 18-1 and has bounced back nicely from his first career loss, winning 5 in a row. Stots is 16-1 and has been on fire, winning 8 straight fights ahead of this one. Despite the odds, I think this is closer than expected, but I am taking Magomedov to win by decision.
Andrey Koreshkov (-390) Vs Sabah Homasi (+305)
It will be a pair of very good Welterweight fighters who step into the octagon for the co-main event of the evening. For Koreshkov, this fight will be all about getting a winning streak going after an up and down patch that has seen him go 3-2 in his last 5 fights. Homasi will be looking to bounce back after losing his last fight, a defeat that snapped a 4-fight win streak. I think we are looking at a KO win for Koreshkov in this one.
Gegard Mousasi (-345) Vs John Salter (+275)
The headline event of the evening is a Middleweight Title bout that will see Mousasi try and retain his belt against a very good opponent. Mousasi has been around the block and comes in with a 47-7-2 career mark, which includes 4 wins in his last 5 fights. Salter is not quite as experienced as a pro, but is still a very solid 18-4, which includes his current 3-fight win streak. Salter will battle hard, but I think it will be the champ who keeps the belt.
