2019 BIG3 Basketball Week 1 Odds, Preview & Picks

As a fan of the NBA, it’s easy to get a little down when the season comes to an end. The champions being crowned at the end of the NBA Finals does not mean that your basketball viewing is over, as we have a fun little competition set to begin this coming weekend.

On Saturday, June 22, Big 3 Basketball will be upon us for the 3rd straight season, with founder Ice Cube pulling in some big names for this exciting 3 on 3 event. All told, there will be 12 teams taking the court, each of which features former NBA greats like Josh Smith, Gilbert Arenas, and Mike Bibby. Let’s take a look at the Big 3 Betting favorites for Week 1.

Saturday Action

Trilogy vs. 3 Headed Monsters

Trilogy is led by captain Jason Terry and coach Kenyon Martin, who will open up the tournament against the 3 Headed Monsters, featuring Rashard Lewis and coach Gary Payton.

Power vs. 3’s Company

Power will be led by Corey Maggette and will have coach Nancy Lieberman running the bench. Their first outing will come against a strong looking 3’s Company team that has DerMarr Johnson as the captain and Michael Cooper as the coach.

Enemies vs. Bivouac

The final game on Saturday night will feature the Enemies, a team that has Gilbert Arenas as captain and Rick Mahorn as coach. They will be up against the Bivouacs, who have Josh Smith as captain and Reggie Theus as coach.

Sunday Action

For the three Sunday games, we move to Banker’s Life Fieldhouse in Indiana, but you can once again catch all the action on CBS, albeit earlier in the day at 1 PM EST. Let’s take a closer look at what we have on tap for Sunday.

Triplets vs. Aliens

We get off to an early start on Sunday, with the Triplets set to face off against the Aliens. The Triplets are led by Joe Johnson and have Lisa Leslie in as coach. Big 3 Basketball Week 1 is going to be fun.

The Aliens have Andre Owens as their captain and Nate Archibald manning the bench.

Tri State vs. Killer 3s

Ball Hogs vs. Ghost Ballers

The final game of the opening weekend of the Big 3 Championship is set to be another good one. The Ball Hogs have Brian Scalabrine as the captain and Rick Barry in as coach. The Ghost Ballers will be led by Mike Bibby, with George Gervin calling the shots as coach.
