Top Boxing Betting Picks for the Week – Nov. 26th Edition

Friday, Nov. 30

Jeff Horn -580 vs Anthony Mundine +430

  • ESPN+
In the TKO loss to Terrence Crawford in his last, Horn showed that he’s learned a few things since upsetting Manny Pacquiao over a year ago. Horn should make quick work of Anthony Mundine on Friday.

Crawford’s the top pound-for-pound boxer in the world. He’s close to unbeatable. Mundine simply isn’t as talented as Horn. The dog’s also 43-years-old and has 56 bouts on his wheels. Horn will use this match to maintain his status as the top Australian fighter on the planet.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jeff Horn

Saturday, Dec. 1

Luis Ortiz vs Travis Kauffman

  • On Showtime

Before Wilder and Fury throw down, the always entertaining Luis Ortiz takes on Travis Kauffman. Ortiz’s chance of winning the heavyweight championship flew out the window in his TKO loss to Wilder back in March.

Never one to live in the past, this will be Ortiz’s second fight since the loss. Kauffman’s a decent fighter, he does a lot of things right, but Ortiz has the experience and know-how to put Kauffman in tough situations. Before the 10-rounds are up, King Kong Oritz will eventually get to Kauffman.

Boxing Betting Pick: Luis Ortiz

Jarrett Hurd vs Jason Welborn

Undefeated Jarrett Hurd won a split decision over Erislandy Lara in his last. He faces a super tough dude in Jason Welborn on Saturday. Welborn will fight Hurd, but Welbon’s got a huge flaw in his stance that Hurd should take advantage of.

Welborn already loses inches to Hurd because he’s shorter. He makes himself even shorter with a wide stance. Not only does the wide stance give inches to his opponent on Saturday, it also takes away some of Welbron’s power as he can’t turn his hips and shoulders nearly as quickly.

Hurd wins via KO or TKO.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jarrett Hurd

Deontay Wilder -185 vs Tyson Fury +155

Wilder’s not as huge of a favorite as we might think he’d be. Deontay’s one of the top heavyweights in the world, but he has a tough fight on Saturday versus the cagey Fury.

Fury moves great for a heavyweight. There’s a chance Wilder catches Fury, but Tyson’s head movement could throw Deontay off. This should be a painstakingly close fight with it going back and forth until either one guy runs out of gas, or the other comes in unprepared.

Fury’s the tallest fighter Wilder’s ever battled. Tyson can mitigate Deontay’s jab the way Ortiz couldn’t. Fury’s worth backing because he presents Wilder with new challenges.

Boxing Betting Pick: Tyson Fury
