Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – November 6th Edition

Written by on November 6, 2018

Just because the 2018 calendar year is winding down, that certainly doesn’t mean that you can’t find some great boxing betting value over the final two months of the year. To that end, I’m offering up a pair of expert boxing odds picks on three title fights that I believe are all offering some excellent value against their title fight odds. With that thought in mind, let’s get down to business. As I trek across the globe.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – November 6th Edition

Krzysztof Glowacki (30-1) vs. Maksim Vlasov (42-2)

  • Where: Chicago, IL
  • When: Saturday, November 10th, 2018

12 rounds, for vacant WBO interim cruiserweight title, World Boxing Super Series quarterfinals.

32-year-old Poland native Krzysztof Glowacki has won four straight fights and comes into this bout off an emphatic first round KO over Santander Silgado in May. Glowacki, who stands 6’0” with a 75-inch reach, has recorded 19 KO wins in his career while suffering one decision loss in his career.

32-year-old Russian Maksim Vlasov had won seven straight fights via KO or TKO – until his last opponent retired in the 10th round in February. The reigning champ has recorded 25 KO wins in his career while suffering a pair of decision losses, the last of which came back in 2015.

Prediction

While these two fighters are the same age and both have plenty of punching power, Maksim Vlasov, the reigning champ, is the pick to win and advance here. Vlasov is by far, the more experienced fighter in this affair. He’s looking for a big win here to put himself into position for a huge title fight against one of the top two cruiserweights in the world. I wouldn’t think twice about the outcome of this fight, seeing as how I just don’t see any way that  Maksim Vlasov lets his guard down to suffer a upset loss.

Boxing Betting Pick: Maksim Vlasov Via Eighth Round KO

Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew

  • When: Saturday, November 10th, 2018
  • Where: Manchester, England
  • Boxing Odds: Tony Bellew +525 / Oleksandr Usyk -750

12 rounds, for Usyk’s WBC/IBF/WBA/WBO cruiserweight title.

35-year-old Englishman Tony Bellew stands 6’4” with a 74-inch reach. Bellew has won 10 consecutive fights and comes into this bout off an encouraging fifth round TKO over former champion, David Haye in May. The win was the second straight TKO defeat of Haye and 20th KO win of Bellew’s career.

31-year-old reigning champ Oleksandr Usyk (15-0) stands 6’3” with a 78-inch reach. The Ukraine native comes into this fight off a unanimous decision win over Murat Gassiev in July that was his second consecutive decision finish.

Prediction

I know that Oleksandr Usyk is the reigning champ and that he’s also unbeaten, but for me, I like Tony Bellew’s chances to get the big upset, seeing as how he’s got a huge edge in experience and has been fighting at or near his peak level for quite some time now. While Oleksandr Usyk has plenty of punching power with 11 KOs in 15 career fights, Tony Bellew has plenty of punching power as well. For me, experience, plus the fact that he’s as hungry now as he’s ever been, is what makes me like Bellew for the big upset!

Boxing Betting Pick: Tony Bellew Via Unanimous Decision
