Betting on the Weekend Boxing Fights on Saturday: Time to Get Those Picks

Jake Paul’s ascension as the world’s top celebrity boxer has led to an actual promotional league ala the UFC, without the high level of combat sports talent, called XRumble Celebrity Boxing Events.

The promotional organization has their inaugural event on June 14.

Also, Jake Paul may have found his next pugilist opponent.

Before getting into XRumble Celebrity Boxing Events and their ambitious plans, check out free boxing odds and picks for this week’s top bouts.

Writer’s Boxing Picks for the Bouts at MyBookie

Ryan Kelly +205 vs Caoimhin Agyarko -290

Since a nice victory over Ioan Lutic last year, Kelly’s form has gone south.

Kelly shows a split-decision draw and a split-decision loss to Keiron Conway.

We should have seen this coming, though, because Lutic was 2-6 when Kelly beat him.

Caoimhin Agyarko is undefeated with a 16-0 record.

The Irish fighter has 7 stoppage wins from the 16 victories and has been motoring through his opponents.

This is a step up but Agyarko has the ability to either push the pace if required or play defense and wait for Kelly to make a mistake.

The chalk takes this.

Boxing Pick: Caoimhin Agyarko

Dalton Smith -1350 vs Mathieu Germain +750

Germain has a nice record.

The dog is 26-2-1 with 11 TKO/KO victories.

The issue facing Dalton Smith is that both of Germain’s losses were via stoppage.

That’s a bad sign because Smith has been spectacular in recent bouts.

The heavily favored chalk is 17-0.

He’s won his last three before the final bell.

One of the victories was versus Jose Zepeda, which explains the massive boxing odds spread.

Smith wins via knockout.

Boxing Pick: Dalton Smith

Charles Conwell -1000 vs Jorge Garcia Perez +520

The odds suggest Conwell destroys Perez.

That could be the case on Saturday night.

The fave has a scintillating 21-0 record with 17 stoppage victories.

Conwell heads into this off a victory over then 20-0 Gerardo Luis Vergara via seventh round knockout.

Perez is 32-4.

The dog has a ton of experience and is on a nice streak having not lost since 2023.

But this is a major step up in class.

Conwell should hand Perez his first loss before the final bell.

Boxing Pick: Charles Conwell

Lee Cutler -240 vs Sam Eggington +176

Underdog Sam Eggington looked great in his last.

We shouldn’t read too much into the win, though.

Eggington fought 4-19-1 Alan Velasquez.

He dominated Velasquez on his way to a sixth round points victory.

Cutler is 15-1.

The loss came in 2021.

Since then, Cutler has honed his craft.

In his last, Cutler looked exceptional when beating a skilled pugilist in Stephen McKenna.

McKenna was 15-0 at the time.

The win was legit and should set Cutler up for a nice victory on Saturday.

Boxing Pick: Lee Cutler

Sunday, April 20

Ben Whittaker -280 vs Liam Cameron +210

The first fight ended in controversy.

Both boxers fell from the ring and Whittaker sustained an injury, which led to the fight being declared a draw.

So the draw wasn’t a real draw in the sense that Cameron boxed as well as Whittaker.

The odds makers and boxing handicappers believe Whittaker comes out on top.

Cameron has a decent record, 23-6-1, but it’s difficult seeing him stepping it up enough to take down Whittaker.

Unless something wild happens again, Ben should add a ninth victory to his 8-0-1 record.

Boxing Pick: Ben Whittaker

Anthony Yarde -750 vs Lyndon Arthur +470

Yarde and Arthur are a couple of terrific boxers.

Both have a ton of experience and have fought agianst top competition.

Yarde is the favorite based on his 24 knockout wins from 26 victories.

Yarde, though, also has 2 KO losses from 3 defeats.

That could open the door for Arthur, who is 24-2 but has a single knockout loss.

The KO loss didn’t come against Dmitry Bivol in a championship bout two fights ago.

Also, the odds make Yarde close to unplayable in this.

Give the dog a chance.

Boxing Pick: Lyndon Arthur

Celebrity Boxing Calendar in 2025

XRumble Celebrity Boxing’s First Promotion is June 14

After his successful defeat of an ancient Mike Tyson on Netflix, Jake Paul thought he’d have a shot against Canelo Alvarez.

But Canelo hopes to take on Terence Crawford in September, which means JP is struggling for an opponent.

JP on the bench, and other celebrity boxers not moving the needle, has led to a drought of celebrity boxing matches this year.

No worries.

Starting on June 14, the ambitious XRumble Celebrity Boxing organization kicks things off with the first event.

No word yet on which celebrities will take place in the actual bouts but XCB has already pulled a coup by convincing Rick “The Nature Boy” Flair, one of the greatest showman wrestlers in history, to host the night’s festivities.

Not only that but earlier in the day there will be an End the Pain Summit hosted by many of the top natural biology and restorative experts on the planet.

XRumble Celebrity Boxing could be a watershed moment in the sport.

The organization doesn’t pretend it’s anything more than a celebrity boxing promotional company.

That could take celebrity boxing to a more entertaining level.

Jake Paul May Take on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

JP was in talks to fight Canelo.

That went south.

Then, Paul was going to battle Gervonta Davis.

That went into he tank after Davis had a subpar showing versus Lamont Roach.

The rumor is that Paul is going to battle Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Supposedly, Jr.

is in the gym every day readying himself to battle Paul.

Chavez Jr.

doesn’t have the skill set that his famous father had.

He’s not even close to his OG dad.

But he might give Paul a real run for his money because if Chavez Jr.

has matured (how could he not, right?), then Jake is going up against a boxer with proven skill.

The fight should be a good one.

So stay tuned for more details.
