In the world of boxing, the end tends to come quickly for former champions, as there is always a younger, hungrier fighter waiting in the wings to take down the champ. There are some fighters who are able to hang on for a few years after their best efforts are behind them, mostly because they can still sell PPV tickets and make a lot of money for a lot of people. His lopsided run of form can clearly be seen in his most recent performances, where he has lost and drawn in his last two bouts. The loss came at the hands of Mikey Garcia in a battle for the WBC Diamond Super Lightweight Title, with that one going to the judges for a UD loss. While he may be going against an older fighter, this still has to be seen as a bit of a step up in class for Broner.
