The CFL is starting to see some teams find their rhythm as the first month of the season is ready to wrap up. Thus far, there are three winless teams still left in the league.

While no one wants to start the season slowly, there are plenty of opportunities for teams to turn their seasons around and qualify for the playoffs.

The two worst offenses in the CFL will both be looking to get in the win column for the first time this season. Edmonton hasn’t really been competitive during its past two games and have fallen to 0-3 on the season. Fortunately for the Elks, they don’t have to play at home, where they’ve lost 19 straight games.

Ottawa hasn’t been much better thus far. The Redblacks have only scored 27 points in their two games, but they have been better on defense than Edmonton, allowing 22.2 points per game. Edmonton has allowed 27.3 points per game. The Elks did some life on offense last week, scoring 31 points in a 14-point loss to defending Grey Cup championships Toronto by 14 points.

Edmonton’s offense taking a step forward last week was encouraging for the team. That was Defensive flashes of potential this year and should do enough to allow Edmonton to cover the spread.

The Blue Bombers came crashing down to Earth last week. After putting up more than 40 points in each of its first two games, Winnipeg was dominated by the B.C. Lions. The Blue Bombers were limited to six points in a blowout loss. Winnipeg will now look to bounce back in a matchup with a 2-0 Montreal team.

The Alouettes are a defensively-focused team. Montreal has only allowed 24 points this season. However, Montreal’s strength of schedule hasn’t challenged them too much so far.

This game will be a good test of where Montreal is as a team. The Blue Bombers will be eager to bounce back however, it should grab a win here.

The Lions are the only undefeated team remaining in the West Division. Where has been really impressive is on defense. The Lions should be able to lean on their style defense to slow down Toronto and grab a win.
