Toronto Argonauts vs Calgary Stampeders

Defending Grey Cup Champion Calgary hasn’t had an auspicious start to the 2019 CFL Season. The Stampeders are 2-2 straight up and 1-3 ATS. They’re 0-2 against the spread at home. But although Calgary hasn’t played nearly as well to start 2019 as they did all of 2018, they figure to get back on the winning track both straight up and against the spread versus Toronto on Thursday.

The Argonauts are an awful 0-4 straight up this season. Toronto is also 1-3 ATS. Toronto is, hands down, the worst team in the Canadian Football League. They only average 14.9 points per game while they allow 40.5 points per. Calgary rolls.

CFL Betting Pick: Calgary Stampeders -11 ½

Ottawa Redblacks vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers

No team has touched Winnipeg so far this season. The Blue Bombers are 4-0 SU and ATS. They rank second in points per at 34.5. They rank first in points allowed per at 19.8. Winnipeg beat Ottawa 29-14 on July 5.

Since the loss to the Blue Bombers, the Redblacks have also lost to Montreal. The Alouettes beat Ottawa 29-16. Although the betting line is a massive 10 points, Winnipeg should have no trouble dominating Ottawa gain. The Blue Bombers cover.

CFL Betting Pick: Winnipeg Blue Bombers -10

Edmonton Eskimos vs Montreal Alouettes

Edmonton is favored by 4 ½ points in a road matchup against Montreal in CFL Week 6. The odds imply the Eskimos will have no trouble handling the Alouettes. That might not be the case.

In the head-to-head matchup on June 14, Montreal hung with Edmonton, losing by only 8 points, 25-32. The Eskimos outscored the Alouettes 14-1 in the second quarter. They outscored the Alouettes 2-0 in the third quarter. However, Montreal outscored Edmonton 7-2 in the fourth quarter and 17-14 in the fourth. If the Alouettes can be more consistent in this matchup, they can definitely keep it within the spread.

CFL Betting Pick: Montreal Alouettes +4 ½

B.C. Lions vs Saskatchewan Roughriders

The B.C. Lions head to Saskatchewan a -4 underdog. B.C. hasn’t played well this season. Their lone victory was an 18-17 win over Toronto on July 6. The Lions are 1-4 straight up and 1-3-1 against the spread.

Saskatchewan is also 1-4 straight up, but they’re 2-2 ATS. The Roughriders have played better, so far, in 2019 than the Lions have. That gives them the edge. Another reason to like Saskatchewan is because they’re 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a bye week. Roughriders gallop to a win and cover.

CFL Betting Pick: Saskatchewan Roughriders -4
