Edmonton Eskimos vs Montreal Alouettes
- When: Sunday, Nov. 10th
- 2019 CFL Semifinals Odds: Montreal Alouettes -1 ½
Edmonton heads into their matchup with Montreal as cold as can be. The Eskimos have gone 1-2-1 straight up in their last 4. They’re 1-7-1 SU in their last 8. Although it looks dire, Edmonton did perform okay in their last couple of matches. They lost by only 3 points to Saskatchewan as a +2.5 dog. They pushed in their game against the Rough Riders on Nov. 2.
Montreal heads into this game in much better shape than Edmonton. The Alouettes beat Ottawa 42-32 in their last. They lost to Hamilton 26-38 on Oct. 26. They did beat Calgary on Oct. 5, though.
Trends wise, this is Edmonton’s to lose. The Eskimos are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Montreal. Although Edmonton is 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games, Montreal is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. The trends favoring the Eskimos aren’t as impressive as Montreal’s overall play in their last 5 games. Not only that, but Montreal has home-field advantage. Back the Alouettes.
CFL Betting Pick: Montreal Alouettes
Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs Calgary Stampeders
- When: Sunday, Nov. 10th
- 2019 CFL Semifinals Odds: Calgary Stampeders -6
Winnipeg has consistently been one of the better CFL squads this season. The Blue Bombers are 11-7. They’ve fallen on hard times in their last 6 games, though. Winnipeg has gone 2-4 SU in their last 6. Although they’ve lost 4-of-6, the Blue Bombers have won 3 straight against the spread. It’s encouraging that Winnipeg beat Calgary 29-28 as a 3-point home dog in their last game.
Like Winnipeg, defending Grey Cup champ Calgary has also played well this season. In the West Division, only Saskatchewan has a better record than the Stampeders’ 13-5 mark. Calgary is 3-1 SU in their last 4. Heading into the playoffs, they look like one of the teams to beat for the Cup.
Even though Calgary looks to tough to beat for the win on Sunday, the trends point to a Winnipeg victory ATS. The Blue Bombers are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight-up win. Calgary is 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 games. They’re 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Back the Blue Bombers to get it done.
