The Elks are the only team in the CFL that doesn’t have a positive memory to hold onto this season. Edmonton has lost all eight of the games it has played this season and hasn’t looked competitive in many of those defeats. The Elks had their first bye week last week and are hoping to be reenergized after Edmonton lost 27-0 to B.C. in Week 8.

The Elks are 2-6 against the spread this season and only scoring 13.1 points per game. Winnipeg has won four of its last five points and put up 50 points in a dominant win over B.C. The Blue Bombers are 5-3 against the spread.

Saskatchewan Roughriders at Montreal Alouettes

The Roughriders and Alouettes have both been having a hard time finding consistency on offense. Saskatchewan has struggled due in part because it lost quarterback Trevor Harris to a serious knee injury a few weeks ago. The Roughriders have been forced to play quarterback Mason Fine, who has struggled with turnovers in two of his three starts.

Montreal has been excellent on defense, ranking third in the league in turnovers forced and points allowed at 11 and 20.4, respectively. The Alouettes’ offense has also been mostly lackluster, giving the ball away the second-most times.

Calgary Stampeders at B.C. Lions

The Stampeders, who are 3-5 against the spread and overall, needed the momentum from its victory last week. Calgary’s offense has been good all season, but the Stampeders have struggled on defense. Calgary will turn this game into another back-and-forth affair, and the Stampeders will cover the spread.

Ottawa may not be the team to test Toronto. The Redblacks are led by inexperienced quarterback Dustin Crum, who hasn’t quite figured out how to be a consistent passer in the league yet. Ottawa is 1-3 on the road this season. The Argonauts will extend their suffering.
