Betting 2024 CFL Season

We have reached Week 15 of the CFL season, and now is when the playoff races really start to heat up in a big way.

The East Division continues to look like the class of the league, but things are starting to get tight everywhere.

Every team in the league continues to chase Montreal ahead of the action this weekend, and it’s going to be a slow week of CFL action.

Here is a look at the three CFL games set to take place throughout the league.

Toronto Argonauts vs. BC Lions (-5.0)

The Toronto Argonauts just can’t seem to go on that big run to get back into the top of the standings, even though many are waiting for it to happen.

The Argonauts are still a tough team to deal with at home, but they just can’t seem to get any stops on the road.

The BC Lions are another team that has played well at home, and they have been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far.

They are clearly the favorites in this matchup, and this will be a game in which they pick up a convincing win.

Ottawa Redblacks -4.0 vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The Ottawa Redblacks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats are an interesting matchup this weekend as both teams need to win in the biggest way.

Ottawa is trying to stay near the top of the standings, while Hamilton is hoping to go on a late season run.

Homefield advantage does tend to matter in the CFL, but this is a game in which it’s not going to impact the outcome too much.

Hamilton just continues to give up too many points, and Ottawa will be able to take advantage in a big way.

This will be a great chance for a road win for Ottawa and they are not going to mess things up in this game.

Montreal Alouettes -6.0 vs. Calgary Stampeders

Everything seems to be going right for the Montreal Alouettes, and they have lost just two games all season long.

This is a team that is loaded with talent, and they have been able to have success on both sides of the ball.

Calgary will be able to get enough stops to keep this game close, but the Stampeders just aren’t scoring enough points to win games.

Taking the Alouettes to win and cover the spread is going to be the right wager to make in this matchup.

Odds Tightening to Win Grey Cup

The odds to win the Grey Cup continue to tighten each week, and this might end up being a much better race than anticipated.

Montreal is still the betting favorites to win the Grey Cup at +206, but the BC Lions are now close behind at +224.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Ottawa Redblacks are the next two teams on the list, and their odds suggest that they could still be in the mix.

Winnipeg is sitting at +360, while Ottawa currently has future odds set at +520.

Here are the rest of the odds heading into Week 15:

  • Toronto Argonauts +890
  • Saskatchewan Roughriders +1075
  • Edmonton Elks +3400
  • Calgary Stampeders +8000
  • Hamilton Tiger-Cats +20000

How to Bet on the PGA Tour Championship? | Understanding Bet Types

Betting on the PGA Tour Championship involves a few key steps to maximize your chances of making successful wagers.
Here’s a guide to help you get started:

  • Point Spread Bets:
In a point spread bet, the sportsbook sets a margin of victory that the favored team must exceed for you to win the bet.
For example, if the Calgary Stampeders are favored by 7 points against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, they need to win by more than 7 points for you to win your bet.

  • Moneyline Bets:
A moneyline bet is a straightforward bet on which team will win the game outright, with no point spread involved.
The odds reflect how likely each team is to win.
For example, a bet on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to win straight up against the Edmonton Elks would pay out based on their moneyline odds.

  • Over/Under Totals:
This bet involves wagering on the total combined score of both teams.
The sportsbook sets a total score, and you bet on whether the actual combined score will be over or under that number.
For instance, if the total is set at 45 points, you can bet on whether the final score will be more or less than 45 points.

  • Parlay Bets:
A parlay bet combines multiple individual bets into one wager.
All bets within the parlay must win for you to collect a payout, but the potential return is higher due to the increased risk.
For example, you might combine bets on three different CFL games into a single parlay.

  • Prop Bets:
Proposition bets (or prop bets) focus on specific events within a game, such as which player will score the first touchdown or how many passing yards a quarterback will accumulate.
These bets can be fun and offer various ways to wager on CFL games beyond the basic outcomes.

  • Futures Bets:
Futures bets involve placing a bet on events that will be decided in the future, such as who will win the Grey Cup at the end of the season.
These bets can offer higher payouts but require a long-term commitment.

  • Live Betting:
Live or in-game betting allows you to place bets on a game as it unfolds.
You can bet on the outcome of the next play, quarter, or even the final result, with odds adjusting in real-time based on game developments.

By understanding these bet types, you can make more informed decisions and tailor your betting strategy to the CFL games you’re interested in.

Canadian Football League 2022 Grey Cup Odds and Top Games to Bet On Week 15

Previous Betting News

Check out the week 15 updated Grey Cup odds and the best games to bet against the CFL Odds. With only three games featured, it can be ensured that this will be an epic unreal of Canadian football!

Updated 2022 Grey Cup Betting Odds and Top Matches Heading Into Week 15 of the CFL Regular Season

TIER 1: The Favorites

Winnipeg Blue Bombers: -110

It is now official. The Bombers are now in negative odds! Is this a shock at this point? No but it is rather crazy considering the postseason picture is not even formed yet. No team, besides the Alouettes, has beaten this team, while many have come close.

There is no reason to bet on this team. They are the clear-cut favorite and have not moved down since the first week. But a three-peat? You are asking for a lot here. The expectations are lofty, and the pressure is mounting on this team. They have narrowly escaped a number of matches and have blown out a minimal number of teams. They are a tad overrated.

Toronto Argonauts: +400

How did the Argos jump this high? No eastern division team has been this high at any point this year. The Argos are the clear favorite out of the east. The most commonly predicted Grey Cup match is Toronto vs Winnipeg. What can go wrong?

Toronto is exhibiting an excellent amount of promise. Both sides of the ball are well rounded, and the other teams in their division continue to fade away. Could they beat Winnipeg in the Grey Cup to prevent a three-peat? If you believe so, +400 is an excellent value!

Calgary Stampeders: +425

Most of Calgary has had enough of the Winnipeg talk. The stamps were undermined until Nathan Rourke went down. Now is the time where Calgary shows up the rest of the league and proves the league wrong. If not Winnipeg, then who? It will likely be the Stampeders.

This is an incredible value pick. The Bombers have been too heavily favored. The Stamps could easily bring them down. +425 could pay massive dividends in the future. Jake Maier could potentially take down the defending champs!

TIER 2: Middle of the Pack

B.C Lions: +650

Falling off a cliff now, are we? BC has been falling since Rourke got injured last week. Even with the W last week, they cannot fend off the others getting better. Vernon Adams needs to turn this ship around. +650 is good value, but this team has yet to prove itself under new leadership.

Saskatchewan Roughriders: +950

The Roughriders are still in this. The Roughriders are the best dark horse team in the CFL right now. The offense is elite when healthy, and the defense has still been dominant. So what are we waiting for? Bet on what a team could be, not what they are now. Hammering that +950 could do wonders!

TIER 3: Down but not out

Montréal Alouettes: +1400

Montreal needs a turnaround for the ages if they look to contend against the big dogs in the postseason. Montreal poses a threat to Toronto in the eastern Grey Cup race. Betting on this team would be a huge risk with a huge upside.

TIER 4: Bottom Feeders

Ottawa Redblacks: +5500 and Hamilton Tiger-Cats: +5500, and Edmonton Elks: +20000

Now three teams are down here yet again! None of these should be a shock, as they have been circling around this area for the whole season. So disappointing.

Week 15 Best Bets

Edmonton Elks vs Saskatchewan Roughriders (-7.5)

The week will likely start with a West division blowout on Friday. The Roughriders are going to kick it into high gear right in the face of the Elk fandom.

And just like that, we got two more teams in the CFL postseason! Montreal and Hamilton both clinched their rides to the playoffs due to a Tiger Cats victory (which I bet on correctly in last week’s article). 5 of the 6 teams have been put into postseason contention. Who knows what will happen this week but Calgary needs a win to really pull away in the crossover standing. Last week, using my advice you would have gone 5-3 on your bets! Let’s see if we can do better in week 15 so you can continue betting against the CFL odds!

2021 CFL Week 15 Betting Preview

Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Toronto Argonauts, NOV 12th @ 7:30 pm

An all time classic inter provincial rivalry to kickoff Friday Night football! Both teams are coming off huge wins but the race for the divisional title is still far from over! Currently, the Argos lead the divisional race by ONE GAME! This loss could cost them the lead to Hamilton. Offence may win games but Hamilton’s defence has been playing outstanding and will give them this wins week! The defence allowing under 20 PPG will be able to contain the Argos 20-8 covering the -.5 points spread!

Calgary Stampeders vs BC Lions, NOV 12th @ 10:30 pm

This high pressure Friday night game is a must win for Calgary. Calgary is coming off their bye week but look to add a win to the win column. BC heads home after an 8 point loss at the hands of Hamilton. Bo Levi Mitchell is just too much to contain for BC and he is due for an outstanding game! BC allows the most passing yards per game and Bo Levi Mitchell will show everyone that he remains at the top of the CFL with this most victory beating BC 32-21 covering the -2.5 spread!

Montreal Alouettes vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers, NOV 13th @ 1 pm

One of two rematches this week. From Manitoba back to Quebec we get the rematch of last week’s ten point loss for Montreal. Trevor Harris throwing two interceptions absolutely killed Montreal in last week’s loss. To nobody’s surprise, William Stanback kept those wheels going and reached 1k yards on the season! However, Zach Collaros played lights out and led just a phenomenal offensive gameplan! Collaros tossed for 2 scores, 280 yards, and 0 turnovers! But I think Montreal gets their revenge and beat Winnipeg. This will be an excellent Saturday afternoon game! This will be a thriller 28-22 covering the +8.5 spread pour les Alouttes!

Edmonton Elks vs Saskatchewan Roughrider , NOV 13th @ 4 pm

Our second rematch of this week is the Elks vs Roughriders! Last week in Oil country, the Roughriders bested the Elk in a 2 point razor sharp game! This game came down to a sneaky QB sneak 2 point conversion to put the Elk within 2 points in the 4th quarter but they were unable to win this game! The Elk have yet to win a game at home this year! Taylor Cornelious played an outstanding match, tossing for over 300 yards and 2 TDs! This game was close last week but not this week. Cody Fajardo has some unfinished business and he’ll bring this win back home with an explosive game beating the Elk with a score of 21-3 covering the -10.5 point spread!

Friday, Sep 20

Calgary Stampeders vs Toronto Argonauts

2019 CFL Week 15 Odds: Calgary Stampeders -6 ½

Last season Grey Cup winner Calgary is only a game behind Winnipeg in the East. They battle the worst team in the Canadian Football League on Friday. The Toronto Argonauts are 2-9 SU. But, Toronto is also 5-5 ATS.

Calgary should win. The Argos might keep it close. The Stampeders are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Friday games. They’re 1-5 ATS versus a team with a losing record. The line isn’t all that daunting, though, while the Stampeders dominate Toronto, going 6-1 ATS in the last 7 head-to-head away games.

CFL Betting Pick: Calgary Stampeders

Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Edmonton Eskimos

2019 CFL Week 15 Odds: TBA

Oddsmakers are hesitant to set a line on this game because Edmonton starting quarterback Trevor Harris might not play. Although no line has been set, we can still handicap the game.

Hamilton not only leads the West Division, but they’ve only lost 3 matchups against the spread. Not only that, but the Tiger-Cats are 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Edmonton. Hamilton averages 29.5 points per while only allowing 19.7 points per. That’s almost a 10 point difference. The Tiger-Cats should cover no matter the line.

CFL Betting Pick: Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Saturday, Sep 21

Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs Montreal Alouettes

2019 CFL Week 15 Odds: Winnipeg Blue Bombers -2 ½

Winnipeg ranks first in both points scored and points allowed per matchup. The Blue Bombers average 29.6 points while they only allow 19 points per. They’ve gone 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games. They’ve gone 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win. They’re 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games following an ATS win.

The line gives Montreal a chance. They’ve got one, but the trends are too hot to ignore. The Alouettes shouldn’t keep up with Winnipeg on Saturday.

CFL Betting Pick: Winnipeg Blue Bombers

BC Lions vs Ottawa RedBlacks

2019 CFL Week 15 Odds: BC Lions -3

The Lions are 2-10 SU and 4-7 ATS. Ottawa has no real advantage over the Lions, though. The RedBlacks are 3-9 SU and 4-8 ATS. Ottawa is on a 5-game losing streak, a 4-game losing streak against the spread, and just dropped a game 5-29 to the Lions on Sep. 13. British Columbia rolls to another victory over last year’s Grey Cup participants.

CFL Betting Pick: BC Lions

CFL Week 15 Betting Preview & Picks

Top Canadian Football League team Calgary takes Week 15 off, but the Stampeders top competition are in action. Check out picks for Montreal at Winnipeg, Edmonton at Ottawa, Saskatchewan at Toronto, and Hamilton at British-Columbia in our Canadian Football Week 15 betting preview!

Friday, Sep 21

Montreal Alouettes at Winnipeg Blue Bombers

After winning 3 straight against the spread, Montreal lost 14-32 to British Columbia on Sep. 14 as a +3 home dog. The Alouettes took another huge step backward after things had looked up.

Winnipeg should pound Montreal on Sep. 21. The Blue Bombers dominated the Alouettes 56-10 back on June 22 behind a 24 points second quarter and a 16 points fourth quarter. It’s hard to see Montreal playing much better this time around than they did that time around.

Winnipeg wins and covers.

CFL Week 15 Pick: Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Saturday, Sep 22

Edmonton Eskimos at Ottawa RedBlacks

For the first time this season, Edmonton faces Ottawa. The last time Edmonton faced Ottawa, they beat the RedBlacks 27-20. That game took place way back on August 10, 2017.

Not much has changed between the two teams, though. Edmonton took off Week 14. In their last, they beat top CFL squad Calgary 48-40 as a home pick. Edmonton’s been on fire against the spread going 3-0 in their last 3.

To make matters worse for the Redblacks backers, Ottawa is 1-4 ATS at home this season. Ottawa shouldn’t put up much of a fight either ATS or SU on Saturday.

CFL Week 15 Pick: Edmonton Eskimos

Saskatchewan Rough Riders at Toronto Argonauts

No team in CFL has been as hot as the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. They rode a 4-game winning streak, including beating Winnipeg twice and Calgary, into their battle with Ottawa on Sep. 15.

Saskatchewan also opened the current season beating Toronto 27-19 on June 15. Because Toronto doesn’t seem to be much better than they were in that game while the Rough Riders are definitely much better, Saskatchewan is the easy play.

CFL Week 15 Pick: Saskatchewan Rough Riders

Hamilton Tiger-Cats at British Columbia Lions

Hamilton is 3-2-1 against the spread in away games. The Tiger-Cats haven’t faced British Columbia since September 22, 2017. They beat BC 24-23 in that game.

BC’s played well in their last couple, though. They beat Ottawa 26-14 before taking down Montreal 32-14. That’s two decent wins, one as a slight dog and the other as a slight favorite. British Columbia has a great 4-1 ATS record heading into this matchup.

Although Hamilton has a big shot at beating the Lions straight up, they’re tough to back because the BC Lions step it up at home. I’ll go with British Columbia SU and ATS.

CFL Week 15 Pick: British Columbia Lions
