With teams clinching sports or on the verge of elimination, this week simply means more. TIER 1: Ticket punched

Winnipeg Blue Bombers: +140

The champ is still number one for yet another week. Somehow the odds are better by the day, but they won’t be for long. They are already hosting the West Final so they are simply two wins away from immortality. 

Toronto Argonauts: +450

The Argonauts are heading into a pivotal two games series. They lead by one game and need one more win to clinch the east. This is the best value you will get for Toronto if you believe they will emerge victorious.

B.C Lions: +450

Is Nathan Rourke coming back? Are their stars returning in time for the postseason? You just love to see it. With a Lions win or s Stampeders loss, they clinch second place and will host the West semi-final. This could be of great value!

Calgary Stampeders: +500

The squad is solid, but they are currently fighting an uphill battle. Two top teams in front of them before they even make the Grey Cup. Could Jake Maier pull off a miracle? If you believe so, hold off on the bet because their odds will decrease. 

Montréal Alouettes: +900

The disrespect! The Alouettes have a key two games and they must win both if they look to take the division title away from Toronto. It is possible and likely. These are the best odds you will likely get for Montréal. 

TIER 2: In the hunt

Hamilton Tiger-Cats: +1200 and Saskatchewan Roughriders: +2000

These two are fighting for the final playoff spot. If Hamilton wins and Saskatchewan loses, Hamilton wins the final postseason spot. It is really anyone’s game. It does not seem likely either of these teams will win it all, but the value will be there for the team that wins the final spot. 

TIER 3: Outside looking in  

Ottawa Redblacks: +20000 and Edmonton Elks: ELIMINATED 

These teams have either been or are on the brink of elimination. If you bet on either of these teams earlier on then, you have wasted your money, so I hate to break it to you this way. You were warned not to bet on them, and as a result, you have lost your bet. 

Week 20 Best Bets

Toronto Argonauts vs Montréal Alouettes (+1.5)

In the one game, these two teams have played this year, Toronto hardly escaped with a one-point victory on a missed field goal. The Alouettes had their number all game and have only gotten better as the season progressed, so this is an excellent bet! 

Calgary Stampeders (-2.5) vs Saskatchewan Roughriders

The other games this week were not great to bet on. I do not love the fact the RIders benched Fajardo and as a result, will catch a loss eliminating them from postseason contention.

Friday, Oct. 26

Calgary Stampeders at Winnipeg Blue Bombers -3.5

The first time Calgary battled Winnipeg, they easily handled the Blue Bombers. Calgary beat Winnipeg 39-26 as a -8.5 home favorite. That was way back in August, though. The Stampeders haven’t looked great in their last couple of matches, losing straight up to British Columbia 21-26 and straight up to Saskatchewan 24-29.

Winnipeg rides a 4-game winning streak into this matchup. The Blue Bombers are 4-0 ATS in those last 4. Blue Bombers should handle Calgary and cover on Friday.

Saturday, Oct. 27

Ottawa RedBlacks at Hamilton Tiger-Cats -3.5

Ottawa maintains first place in the East Division, but they haven’t exactly torn it up in their last 2. Winnipeg beat them 40-32 before Edmonton took them down 34-16. This game on Saturday is a rematch of a game on Oct. 19.

In that one, the RedBlacks beat the Tiger-Cats 34-31. There’s a good chance Hamilton turns the tables on Ottawa on Saturday. The game should be tight, but Tiger-Cats figure to do just enough to cover.

British Columbia Lions at Saskatchewan Rough Riders -4

If this matchup happened earlier in the season, in July or August, Saskatchewan would be a -7 favorite. The Rough Riders beat BC 24-21 on the road on August 25. Since that game, both teams have played well.

British Columbia has won 3 in a row. No win was as impressive as upsetting Calgary 26-21 on the road as a +10.5 dog. BC’s on a roll. Saskatchewan’s also on a roll, though. The Rough Riders win and cover.

Sunday, Oct. 28

Toronto Argonauts at Montreal Alouettes -1

For the first time this season, Montreal’s favored. The Alouettes should be after their 22-26 loss to Toronto on Oct. 20. Montreal played well enough to win.

Johnny Manziel started for the Alouettes in their last game. He completed 23-of-30. He also rushed for 38 yards on 4 carries. Manziel should have a much better game at home, meaning Montreal takes this by at least 3 points.

Last season’s Grey Cup winners, Calgary, are tied atop the West Division with the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. The Stampeders are 11-5. They will look to beat and cover against 10-7 Winnipeg on Friday night.

These two battled on Oct. 19. Calgary took that game 37-33. It’s hard to see the Stampeders falling behind in this one. They’ve been on a roll, winning 6 of their last 7 SU while the spread isn’t all that daunting.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Montreal Alouettes

2019 CFL Week 20 Odds: Hamilton Tiger-Cats -2 ½

Why is the spread so low on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to beat the Montreal Alouettes? Simple. The Alouettes are one of the few teams to have beaten the Tiger-Cats this season. Montreal shocked Hamilton 36-29 on July 4^th.

Since then, Hamilton has gone 10-2 SU. Montreal is only 4-4 ATS at home. They’re 9-7 overall. Although the Alouettes have proven they can beat the Tiger-Cats straight up, they shouldn’t come close to doing that on Saturday. July 4 was a long time ago.

Ottawa Redblacks vs Toronto Argonauts

2019 CFL Week 20 Odds: Toronto Argonauts -5

Both these teams are 3-13 on the season, which means we should probably take the points, right? After all, when 2 awful teams meet, the team getting points, especially 5, can mean a ton. However, the Argonauts have beaten the Redblacks twice this season and it hasn’t even been all that close. They pummeled Ottawa 46-17 on Sep. 7. Then, on Oct. 11 they beat Ottawa 28-21 on the road. The Argos get the nod.

Saskatchewan Rough Riders vs Edmonton Eskimos

2019 CFL Week 20 Odds: Saskatchewan Rough Riders -1

Edmonton’s getting way more love than they probably should in this matchup. The Eskimos have won 2-of-3, but Saskatchewan has been on a huge roll. The Rough Riders are 4-1 SU in their last 5. The only loss happened on the road against Calgary and Sasktachewan covered in that matchup, meaning they’re 4-0 SU in their last 4.
