2021 CFL Week 7 Betting Preview
Calgary Stampeders at Hamilton Tiger-Cats – Friday 6 pm. CT
The Stampeders are looking to climb out of the last place in the West with their trip to Hamilton. The Tiger-Cats have been a little better, at 2-3. Hamilton is unbeaten at home this season.
Ka’Deem Carey leads all running backs in the CFL with 4 touchdowns, while Kamar Jorden is the top receiver in the league with 516 yards. The Tiger-Cats are going to have some work to slow down Calgary in this one. Hamilton is listed at -3.5 in this one.
Toronto Argonauts at Saskatchewan Roughriders – Friday 8:45pm CT
The top team in the East will face off against the 2nd place team in the West. This should be a great football game. Toronto is coming off their thrilling 17-16 win at home over Hamilton. For the Roughriders, they got blown out on the road at Winnipeg.
Look for the Roughriders to be prepared and focused for this game. The Argonauts go on the road as a 5 point underdog on Friday night.
British Columbia Lions at Montreal Alouettes – Saturday 6pm CT
Michael Reilly will look to continue playing good football as the Lions go to Montreal. William Stanback has played in 4 games and has picked up 346 yards on the ground for Montreal. Another threat for Montreal is Jake Wieneke, who leads the league with 4 touchdowns.
This game is slated to be one of the most competitive of the weekend. British Columbia won big last week over Ottawa, while Montreal did not play. The previous game Montreal played was in Week 5 where they scored 51 in a win over Ottawa. This game opened as a pick’em.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Edmonton Elks – Saturday 8:45pm CT
The top passing quarterback in the league is Trevor Harris of Edmonton. He is going to put the Blue Bombers defense to the test. He has thrown for nearly 1,500 yards in 5 games this season. While his touchdown to interception ratio at 6/5 is not where he wants to be, there is no doubt he is going to push the football down the field. Zach Collaros counters for Winnipeg, and he has been steady all season long.
He is just 2 yards behind Harris for most in the league but has played in one more game this season. The Winnipeg defense will also have to keep an eye on leading rushing James Wilder in this one. Winnipeg is favored on the road, at -6.5.
Enjoy the action, and best of luck!
