Who: Washington Huskies (12-1) at Alabama Crimson Tide (13-0) When: Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at 3:00 PM ET Where: Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA TV: ESPN Spread: Alabama -16 Moneyline: Washington +635 at Alabama -900 / Game Total: 54.5 Analysis: After opening as an 11-point favorite, the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide jumped up to a 14.5-point favorite after a ton of money way wager on them to apparently man-handle the fourth-ranked Washington Huskies. Strangely enough, the college football betting odds for this matchup have risen even more over the last week with the Tide now being a whopping 16-point favorite to take down the Huskies.  The Over/Under total is currently 54.5 points. Just so you know, the Huskies covered the spread the only time they’ve been underdogs of this magnitude under head coach Chris Petersen, cashing in as a 17-point road underdog by winning outright 17-12 against USC in 2015.

2016 PlayStation Fiesta Bowl

Who: Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1) at Clemson Tigers (12-1) When: Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 7:00 PM ET Where: University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ TV: ESPN Spread: Ohio State -3.5 Moneyline: Ohio State -155 at Clemson +135 / Game Total: 60.5 Analysis: Maybe it’s me, but I’m still trying to figure out how No. 2 Clemson is an underdog against No. 3 Ohio State, but hey, it is what it is. After opening as a 3-point dog, the line has remained virtually unchanged with the Tigers now being 3.5-point underdogs against the Buckeyes. Just know that the last three times Clemson was an underdog of 3.5 points or less, they’ve gone 3-0 SU and ATS, including as a 1-point dog against Lamar Jackson and Louisville earlier this season. By the way, the last time Ohio State was favored by 3.5 points, they failed to cover in their 30-27 win over Michigan a few weeks back.
