  This coming season, there will be a surprisingly high number of games taking place in the month of December, starting with five bowl game that will all get underway on Dec. 16. Also, there will be no New Year’s eve games this season although there will be five New Year’s Day bowl games with the Outback Bowl, Peach Bowl and Citrus Bowl joining the  traditional Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl which will serve as this season’s two national semifinal playoff matchups.
