Analysis:
The Florida State Seminoles are expected to be national title contenders in 2017 but they must replace gifted running back Dalvin Cook. The good news is that the Noles have a gifted quarterback in sophomore Deondre Francois and get a ton of elite high school talent on an annual basis. Francois returns after starting all 13 games last season while throwing for 3,350 yards and 20 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman in 2016.

The Clemson Tigers will likely be very good in 2017, if not necessarily a national championship title contender. The Tigers must replace dual-threat quarterback Deshaun Watson and underrated running back Wayne Gallman, so I wouldn’t just pick them to win the ACC in 2017. Junior Kelly Bryant, true freshman Hunter Johnson and redshirt freshman Zerrick Cooper will duke it out for Watson’s job this spring.

For me, the most dangerous team in the ACC outside of Florida State is Louisville with Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson. Louisville must replace running back Brandon Radcliff (903 yards), wide receivers James Quick (45) and Jamari Staples (36) and tight end Cole Hikutini (50), so head coach Bobby Petrino has his work cut out for him. If the Cardinals can get Jackson some help on the defensive side of the ball, I think they could very well find a way into the final four.

Head coach Mark Richt will need to replace starting quarterback Brad Kaaya after he left early for the NFL Draft after throwing for 3,532 yards and 27 touchdowns as a junior in 2016. till though, Miami has an elite running back in  Mark Walton and a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball starting with their trio of young linebacker that all started as freshmen in Shaq Quarterman, Michael Pinckney and Zach McCloud.

Last but not least, Virginia Tech could surprise in a big way after reaching the conference championship a year ago in Justin Fuente’s first season. Unfortunately, the Hokies need to replace dual-threat signal-caller Jerod Evans, tight end Bucky Hodges and receiver Isaiah Ford who all declared for the NFL Draft. As it stands for me right now, Florida State is the clear-cut ACC champion in 2017.
