Odds to win 2019 College Football Championship
- Alabama 9/4
- Clemson 6/1
- Ohio State 15/2
- Georgia 8/1
- Michigan 15/1
- Penn State 15/1
- Oklahoma 22/1
- Washington 22/1
- Auburn 28/1
Alabama
The names and faces may change, but one thing you can count on is the fact that the Tide will have another powerful defense. Yes, the Tide lost a ton of starters and no, they probably won’t have the best passing attack around, but defense and power rushing have been the formula for success for Nick Saban and 2018 will be no different, that’s why they dominate the College Football Championship Odds once again.Clemson
The Tigers have won at least 10 games every year since 2011 and have reached the four-team playoff every year since its creation. Clemson has a ton of elite, future NFL talent starting with defensive linemen Clelin Ferrell, Austin Bryant, and tackle Christian Wilkins. The rushing attack looks powerful with the return of Travis Etienne and Tavien Feaster. Clemson’s success will depend on what they get from quarterback Kelly Bryant or, potentially, five-star recruit Trevor Lawrence.Ohio State
No J.T. Barrett means the Buckeyes will have a first-time starter under center – and a tough way to go to win the 2018-19 national championship.Georgia
The Dawgs had a phenomenal campaign in 2017 and they’ll likely be prime time contenders against with a quarterback that looks like he’s going to improve in a big way in sophomore Jake Fromm and what should be another powerful defense under taskmaster head coach Kirby Smart who has wisely used the same formula that Saban has (defense and power rushing) at Alabama, to turn his program into one that looks like it will be a perennial title contender.Michigan
Ole Miss transfer quarterback Shea Patterson will take over this coming season and he’ll almost assuredly be better than the combination of signal-callers that John Harbaugh went with last season. The Wolverines will be solid on defense again this coming season because of Harbaugh’s penchant for producing powerful defense, putting the onus on the Wolverines’ success this coming season square on the shoulders of the offense.Penn State
Saquon Barkley is gone and that would be a big blow to any program. However, James Franklin still has quarterback Trace McSorley returning. If the Nittany Lions can get over the loss of Barkley, wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton and tight end Mike Gesicki, they could very well challenge for the Big Ten title and a berth in the four-team CFP, although right now, I’m thinking it’s something of a longshot.Oklahoma
With quarterback Baker Mayfield, left tackle Orlando Brown and tight end Mark Andrews all bolting for the greener pastures of the NFL, second-year head coach Lincoln Riley will have his hands full in 2018.
