Two unbeaten national championship hopefuls will look to take another step toward reaching the College Football Playoff when they square off in their respective Week 10 matchups this coming weekend. The undefeated Central Florida Knights will host the Temple Owls on Thursday night while looking to take another step toward their second consecutive perfect season. Streaking Virginia will also look to improve on their fine season after getting back into the national rankings for the first time in ages. Last but not least, the second-ranked Clemson will look to tame the struggling Louisville Cardinals to remain unbeaten when they square off in their ACC clash on Saturday.
Now, let’s find out what’s going to go down in all three matchups.

Temple (5-3) at No. 9 Central Florida (7-0)
When: Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 7:30 PM ET Where: Spectrum Stadium, Orlando, Florida NCAA Football Week 10 Odds: UCF -10 / Total: 60.5
While the Temple Owls are well-rested following a bye lat weekend and are definitely playing their best football of the season in winning three straight games over ECU, Navy and Cincinnati, for me the Central Florida Knights are the pick to win and ATS cover in this contest. Central Florida averages almost 14 points per game more than the Owls (44.4 ppg-30.5 ppg) while simultaneously limiting the opposition to just 18.1points per game defensively while Temple gives up slightly more at 21.4 points per game.
Temple suffered inexplicable losses to lowly Villanova and Buffalo while also losing a thriller on the road at Boston College. Central Florida has answered the bell every time this season while walloping Pittsburgh 45-14. The Knights are also well-rested after a bye and playing at home.
While the Owls have gone 8-1 ATS in their last nine games in the month of November and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, Central Florida has gone 4-1 ATS in their last five conference games and 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games following a ATS win. I’m going with the 62 percent of public bettors that currently like the Knights to get it done as a double-digit home favorite and you should too!
NCAA Football Week 10 Pick: Central Florida 38 Temple 24
Pittsburgh (4-4) at No. 22 Virginia (6-2)
When: Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7:30 PM ET Where: Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, Virginia NCAA Football Week 10 Odds: Virginia -7 / Total: 49
Pittsburgh picked up a very nice 54-45 win over Duke on Saturday one week after they put up a great effort in their narrow, 19-14 road loss against unbeaten No. 3 Notre Dame. Virginia moved into the national AP Top 25 for the first time since 2011 by extending their winning streak to three games with a solid 31-21 win over North Carolina on Saturday that came on the heels of impressive wins over Miami and Duke in Weeks 7 and 8 respectively.
While Pittsburgh is playing solid football right now and the Panthers have an offense that averages a nearly identical amount as Virginia’s (28.0-28.3 ppg), the fact of the matter is that the Cavaliers are the far superior defensive team in this contest which is why I like them to get the win and narrow ATS cover as a touchdown home favorite.
Pittsburgh is just 2-5-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win while Virginia has gone 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. With the favorite in this Big East rivalry going 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings I say back the cavaliers for the win and narrow ATS cover.
NCAA Football Week 10 Pick: Virginia 31 Pittsburgh 23
Louisville (2-6) at No. 2 Clemson (8-0)
When: Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12:00 PM ET Where: Clemson Memorial Stadium, Clemson, South Carolina NCAA Football Week 10 Odds: Clemson -38 / Total: 59.5
Louisville is playing some absolutely ugly football right now, having lost five straight games while giving up an insane 56 points or more in two of their last three games including their 56-35 blowout loss at home against wake Forest this past weekend. That simply doesn’t bode well as they get set to take on a Clemson team that has scored 41 or more in each of their last three games and comes into this contest off an eye-opening 59-10 blowout over Florida State on Saturday that handed the Seminoles their worst home loss in program history. Clemson has won four straight in this ACC rivalry including last season’s 47-21 beatdown as a 3-point road favorite.
I know the 38-point spread looks a bit insane, but after seeing the 49-point spanking the Tigers put on Florida State last weekend, I’m going to back the nation’s No. 2 team to cover it. Louisville is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Clemson, on the other hand, has gone 6-1 ATS in their last 7 conference games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win and a near-perfect 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall despite being a double-digit favorite each time out. I’m going with the 46 percent of public bettors that like the Tigers to get it done.
