Written by on November 19, 2018

Can unranked Mississippi get the big home upset over visiting No. 21 Mississippi State? Will No. 11 Central Florida take another step toward back-to-back unbeaten seasons and a potential playoff berth as an ‘outsider’ when they visit in-state rival South Florida?

Last but not least, will second-ranked Clemson be able to both, avoid the upset against visiting South Carolina, while covering the spread as a decisive home favorite?

With the 2018 regular season steamrolling to a fast and furious finish, you’re going to find the trio of NCAA Football Week 13 betting picks that you’re about to get, packs plenty of punch and then some to make some parlays this weekend.

Okay, with all of that said, let’s get started.

NCAA Football Week 13 Parlay Picks

No. 21 Mississippi State (7-4) at Mississippi (5-6)

  • When: Thursday, November 22, 2018 at 7:30 PM ET
  • Where: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, Mississippi
  • NCAA Football Week 13 Odds: Mississippi State -9.5

Mississippi State bounced back from its 24-0 shutout loss against top-ranked Alabama in Week 11 to pound overmatched Arkansas  senseless in their 52-6 blowout win on Saturday. Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald threw four TD passes and ran for another while senior backup running back Aeris Williams rushed for 104 yards while starting in place of the injured Kylin Hill.

“To have a day like this with another senior, to go out there and have fun playing, putting up huge numbers in front of the home crowd for the last time, it was awesome,” Fitzgerald said.

Ole Miss put up a fight, but the Rebels lost its fourth straight game by falling to Vanderbilt 36-29 in overtime on Saturday night. Quarterback Jordan Ta’amu passed for a whopping 457 yards and two touchdowns, but he also tossed a pair of costly interceptions in the loss. The game ended in controversy with Ta’amu’s 8-yard TD pass to A.J. Brown was overturned as the Commodores secured the narrow win.

“It looked like he had possession, and he was down, and the guy knocked it out, that’s what it looked like on the jumbotron,” Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke said. “That’s what I saw.”

For this Week 13 showdown, I’m going to advise you to make the simple pick and back a clearly superior Mississippi State squad to get the win and ATS cover in this one. The Bulldogs average 8.2 points per game more than the Rebels while simultaneously allowing almost 24 fewer points per game than their in-state rivals defensively.

Forget the fact that Ole Miss has won three of their last four meetings in this rivalry. The Rebels are 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record while Mississippi State has gone 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after racking up more than 450 total yards in their previous game and 9-3 ATS in their last dozen games after holding their opponent to less than 275 total yards in their previous game. Ole Miss is in trouble in this one – even at home.

NCAA Football Week 13 Pick: Mississippi State 35 Mississippi 24

No. 11 Central Florida (10-0) at South Florida (7-4)

  • When: Friday, November 23, 2018 at 4:15 PM ET
  • Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida
  • NCAA Football Week 13 Odds: Central Florida -14.5

Central Florida man-handled 19th-ranked, one-loss Cincinnati 38-13 in a game that was never close. Quarterback McKenzie Milton passed for 268 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for another to lead the unbeaten Knights to the easy win in their nationally-televised showdown.

“It’s been a long time coming, a game of this magnitude,” Milton said.

“The whole weekend was a great opportunity for us to introduce ourselves,” UCF head coach Josh Heupel added. “I think it’s the first chance some people have had to see our university, see the great players we have, the passion of our fans and the atmosphere in our stadium. … I hope they like what they saw.”

After getting off to a fantastic 7-0 start, South Florida lost its fourth straight game by falling to Temple 27-17 on Saturday. The Bulls led 17-0 at the half but got shut out from that point while temple scored 17 fourth quarter points to get the comeback win. While running back Jordan Cronkite rushed for two scores, quarterback Blake Barnett completed 14 of 23 passes for just 82 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss. For this Week 13 matchup, Central Florida is the super easy pick to win and cash in against a South Florida team the are better than in every phases of the game. While the Bulls average a solid 30.9 points per game this season, they are also giving up an eerily identical amount defensively. Central Florida ranks sixth nationally in scoring (43.6 ppg) while also ranking an encouraging 22nd in points allowed defensively (20.4 ppg).

The Knights are a nearly perfect 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. On the flip side of the coin, Bulls are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. UCF wins and cashes in as a double-digit favorite despite being on the road!

NCAA Football Week 13 Pick: Central Florida 45 South Florida 14

South Carolina (6-4) at No. 2 Clemson (11-0)

  • When: Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 7:00 PM ET
  • Where: Clemson Memorial Stadium, Clemson, South Carolina
  • NCAA Football Week 13 Odds: Clemson -25

South Carolina has won three of its last four games and comes into this contest off an overpowering 49-9 beatdown over Chattanooga as quarterback Jake Bentley threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns to help the Gamecocks become bowl eligible by recording their sixth win of the season.

“We’ve been through adversity this year,” Bentley said. “It’s great to know we’ve got some postseason ball ahead of us.”

Clemson steamrolled Duke en route to a convincing 35-6 win over the Blue Devils on Saturday. Freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed for 251 yards and two touchdowns in the win while running back Travis Etienne rushed for 81 yards and two scores on just nine carries. Despite leading just 14-6 at the half, Clemson managed to pull away in the second half by shutting the Blue Devils out in the second half.

“You walk in, you win 35-6, and you have some people who are disappointed,” Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said afterward.

For this Week 13 matchup, I’m going to advise you to back Clemson to et the SU win, but for South Carolina to cover the huge spread. The Gamecocks are 3-0 ATS in their last three games, 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 road games, 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 road games against a team with a winning home record and4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record. While the favorite and home team in this rivalry has gone 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings, Clemson is just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games. I’m going with South Carolina to narrowly cover the spread in defeat.
