Miami Hurricanes over Boston College Eagles
It’s a long weekend of college football action, with this one set to go under the lights on Friday night. This will be the first meeting between these teams in 6 years, so a lot to look forward to, with a pair of 5-2 squads going head to head.
That mark is a positive one for the Eagle, but almost certainly a disappointment for a Hurricanes team that was looking to take another step forward this season. Miami needs to find a way to bounce back after a 16-13 loss to Virginia last week, and while this is certainly not the easiest game available, I like Miami to get the win on the road.

Vanderbilt Commodores over Arkansas Razorbacks
Both teams are coming into this one with a losing record, although I would suggest that the Commodores have been a little more competitive than their opponent over the course of the season. Vandy pushed Kentucky all the way to the end last weekend, eventually losing 14-7, but still covering as an 11-point underdog.
Arkansas finally got their first win of the season last week, pitching a defensive shutout in a 23-0 win over Tulsa. This looks like it will be a low-scoring affair, and I think it will be the Vanderbilt Commodores who eventually eke out the win.

The Boilermakers delivered the upset of the season in a stunning 49-20 win over Ohio State last weekend, a game that they started as a 12-point underdog. Winning at home in front of a rowdy, enthusiastic crowd is always a little easier than picking up wins on the road, which is why the trip to East Lansing this weekend might be just a little trickier.
The Spartans offense has been sputtering of late, helping explain why they have now lost 2 of their last 3 games. They are a slight favorite against Purdue this Saturday, but they will be facing a team still sure to be riding a high. I am on the Boilermakers for the slight upset.
