2019 College Football Week 10 ATS Betting Picks

Written by on October 28, 2019

For those of us trying to decide who will land in the top 4 at the end of the college football regular season, the task seems to be getting tougher with each passing week. Upsets have become the norm now, with the Oklahoma Sooners the latest team in the top 10 to fall prey to an unranked opponent.

As much fun as it is to see the chaos created by these types of results, it tends to make wagering a little more difficult. I had the Sooners to win and cover last weekend, so the excitement of the playoff race is tempered a little by the loss. Still, a brand new week is ahead of us, so let’s see if we can dig up some Week 10 ATS picks that might get us back in the NCAAF Betting winning column.

College Football Week 10 ATS Betting Picks

Michigan Wolverines (-18 ½) at Maryland Terrapins in College Football Week 10

Every time you think that the Michigan Wolverines are dead and buried, they bounce back with a bog win. Their hopes of a playoff spot died a couple of weeks ago with a loss to Penn State, but rather than rolling over and playing dead, the Wolverines came out last weekend and destroyed Notre Dame 45-15 in a performance that was as dominant as the score suggests.

Next up is a road trip to Maryland, a team that Michigan has been 4 out of the last 5 meetings. They are also 4-1 ATS on those games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games played in Week 10.

College Football Week 10 Betting Trends

  • Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games
  • Wolverines are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games played in week 10
  • Terrapins are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Terrapins are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games played in November

Marshall Thundering Herd (-10 ½) at Rice Owls

It’s easy to look at the ATS record of a team and decide that they are not worth taking a chance on in any given week. That would certainly appear to be the case with the Marshall Thundering Herd in Week 10, as they are just 2-6 ATS this season and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games.

You look at their recent meetings with the Rice Owls and you see that they have been decided by an average of a single point. All of that aside, you need to look at just how poor Rice has been this season. This is a bit of an iffy bet, but I am taking Marshall to cover on the road.

College Football Week 10 Betting Trends

  • Thundering Herd are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Thundering Herd are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games played in November
  • Owls are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Owls are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games played in week 10

UAB Blazers at Tennessee Volunteers (-9 ½) in College Football Week 10

The Tennessee Volunteers are having a bit of a miserable season, but they are coming off what is arguably their best performance of the year after beating the South Carolina Gamecocks 41-21. They will be at home again this weekend against a UAB Blazers team that they have beaten in each of their last 4 meetings.

The Vols are favorites for College Football Week 10.

The Blazers are coming in hot after reeling off 3-straight wins, but they are up against a Vols team sure to still be fired up after their big win. The average margin of victory for Tennessee against UAB is those 4 games is 17 PPG.

College Football Week 10 Betting Trends

  • Blazers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Blazers are 6-3 ATS in their last 9 games on the road
  • Volunteers are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Volunteers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games played in November

BYU Cougars (+3 ½) at Utah State Aggies

When looking through all the early odds for the coming weekend, this was the one that almost immediately jumped off the page. I always like looking for road teams with a shot at winning or covering, as that usually means a nice little chunk of change in your pocket.

The BYU Cougars have been a fantastic ATS bet of late, especially when playing away from home. They are an impressive 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games and are also 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games versus teams from the Mountain West Conference.

College Football Week 10 Betting Trends

  • Cougars are 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games
  • Cougars are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games on the road
  • Aggies are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games
  • Aggies are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games played in November
