2019 College Football Week 14 ATS Betting Picks

Written by on November 26, 2019

This coming weekend is the final of the college football regular season, but even if the top 4 escape this one unscathed, they will still need to make it through Conference Championship weekend before they can be sure of clinching a playoff berth. There is still a very good chance that we are going to see some real drama in Week 14, as it is rivalry weekend.

You can bet that the teams who do not have a shot at being in the playoffs are going to want to come out and do all they can to disrupt the chances of their biggest rivals. This is always the one weekend where we can usually expect some college football betting surprises, but who will survive and who will fall? Let’s take a closer look at Week 14 by making some ATS picks.

2019 College Football Week 14 ATS Betting Picks

Missouri Tigers (-12) at Arkansas Razorbacks

With Thanksgiving Day landing on Thursday this week, the schedule looks a little different, with a number of early games on the board on Friday. One of those sees the Missouri Tigers hit the road to face the Arkansas Razorbacks as a 12-point favorite.

It has been a brutal year for the 2-9 Razorbacks, and while things have not been great in Missouri, the Tigers can still become bowl eligible with a win on Friday afternoon. That should inspire them to come out and deliver their best effort, which is why I think they cover the spread with the win.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Tigers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Tigers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games on the road
  • Razorbacks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Razorbacks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against an opponent in the Southeast conference

Boise State Broncos (-13 ½) at Colorado State Rams

We are sticking with the Friday games for our second pick of the bunch, with the Boise State Broncos heading out to face the Colorado State Rams. It has been another fabulous season for the 10-1 Broncos, who will be heading to the Mountain West Conference Championship Game next weekend.

They will want to continue their hot streak against a Rams team that they have beaten 8 straight times, while covering in 6 of those games. The Broncos are a very healthy 10-5 ATS in their last 15 games overall, which makes them a good bet here.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Broncos are 10-5 ATS in their last 15 games
  • Broncos are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games played in week 14
  • Rams are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games played on a Friday
  • Rams are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games played in week 14

Wake Forest Demon Deacons (-4 ½) at Syracuse Orange

No matter how this one plays out, you have to say that this has been a very good season for the 8-3 Wake Forest Demon Deacons. They have stumbled a little over the past few weeks, losing 2 of 3, but with those losses coming to Virginia Tech and Clemson, there is no reason to be ashamed at all. Wake Forest is the favorite against Syracuse in College Football Week 14.

They are going against a Syracuse tam that has been poor this season and who have covered the spread just once in their last 7 games. The Demon Deacons have not had much luck against the spread versus Syracuse, going 2-6 in the last 8, but I think they reverse that trend this weekend.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Demon Deacons are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games against Syracuse
  • Demon Deacons are 7-13 SU in their last 20 games played in November
  • Orange are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games
  • Orange are 8-2 SU in their last 10 games at home

Oklahoma Sooners at Oklahoma State Cowboys (+13)

It probably wouldn’t be right to close out these selections without picking at least one underdog, so let’s do that here. Oklahoma State are coming into this one on a fantastic run of form, winning 4-straight games to get to 8-3 on the season.

Perhaps more importantly, though, they have been a fantastic bet against the spread, going 9-2 ATS through 11 games. Compare that to a Sooners team that has been winning, but who are just 1-6 ATS in their last 7. I like the Sooners to win this one, but not by as many points as the bookies suggest.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Sooners are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games
  • Sooners are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games against an opponent in the Big 12 conference
  • Cowboys are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games
  • Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games at home
