2019 College Football Week 15 ATS Betting Picks

Written by on December 4, 2019

Outside of the playoffs, Week 15 of the college football season is far and away the most important. This weekend will see the Conference Championship Games played, which will in turn decide which 4 teams will be playing for a shot at the National Championship. It is, as you would expect, a much smaller schedule than we are used to, but every game is absolutely huge.

With so few games to chose from, putting together picks is going to be a little tougher than usual, but we are still going to give it a shot. We will start out with ATS NCAAF Betting picks, but we will also have SU and O/U picks coming your way, so watch out for those.

2019 College Football Week 15 ATS Betting Picks

Baylor Bears (+8 ½) versus Oklahoma Sooners

It’s fair to suggest that the Oklahoma Sooners killed the Baylor Bears playoff hopes a couple of weeks ago when they came from behind to win 34-31 and hand the Bears their first loss of the season. Baylor now has a shot at revenge, as they can kill off the Sooners playoff chances with a win in the Big 12 Championship Game.

It’s a task easier said than done given that Oklahoma has won the title 4 years in a row. While beating the Sooners might be a big ask, I certainly think that Baylor can keep it close, just like in the previous meeting.

College Football Week 15 Betting Trends

  • Bears are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games played on a Saturday
  • Sooners are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games

Miami-OH Redhawks versus Central Michigan Chippewas in College Football Week 15 (-7)

We head to Detroit on Saturday for the MAC Championship game, with Central Michigan in as a 7-point favorite. Given that the Chippewas have won 6 of their last 7 meetings with Miami-OH, it is perhaps no real surprise that they are in as a favorite here, but can they do enough to also cover the spread?

Their regular season record would certainly suggest so, with Central Michigan going 9-2-1 ATS, which included going a perfect 1-0 ATS in the lone game that they played at a neutral venue. I like the Chippewas to win and cover in this one.

College Football Week 15 Betting Trends

  • Redhawks are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games against Central Michigan
  • Chippewas are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games played on a Saturday

Virginia Cavaliers versus Clemson Tigers (-28 ½)

In the early part of the season, there was some concern about the play of the Clemson Tigers, or more specifically the play of their QB, Trevor Lawrence. A close call against UNC seemed to wake this group up, though, as they have been on a tear ever since, with Lawrence back to his brilliant best.

Clemson should be one of your College Football Week 15 Betting picks.

The Tigers are rolling right now and have won each of their last 7 games by a minimum of 30 points. Given that dominance, the Clemson Tigers have been a fantastic bet against the spread during that run, covering in 6 of those 7 games. The concern here is that they start pulling starters if this thing gets out of control, but I am taking Clemson to cover.

College Football Week 15 Betting Trends

  • Cavaliers are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games when playing on the road against Clemson
  • Tigers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against an opponent in the Atlantic Coast conference

Ohio State Buckeyes versus Wisconsin Badgers in College Football Week 15 (+16 ½)

You could argue that the Ohio State Buckeyes have already done enough to convince the playoff committee that they are worthy of a top 4 spot, but you can also bet that they will be leaving nothing to chance. We have already seen the Buckeyes lay a beating on Wisconsin this season, winning that one 38-7, but we also know how tough it is to beat the same team twice on the same year.

The Buckeyes are a worthy favorite here, but can they put up another huge performance in their biggest game of the season? I think the Badgers do enough to cover.

College Football Week 15 Betting Trends

  • Buckeyes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games played in December
  • Badgers are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games
